Champions League

Massive week coming up starting tonite when Barcelona travel to Liverpool, i think Barca might sneak a win, suppose it all depends on whether or not Liverpool can pick themselves up after Saturdays defeat by Man United.

I believe Chelsea are home and hosed, id be astounded if they didn't go through, Valencia v Inter all to play for but i believe the Spanish club will progress, they'll be too strong @ home, i think Lyon will overcome Roma too at home.

Tomorrow nite for me and all Celts is the big one obviously, ill be arriving in Milan tomorrow afternoon via London ticketless but hoping to pick one up, obviously Milan are favorites to progress with our away record in Europe being appalling but never say never if we play to our best ability you never know, a big game from our experienced players is required, it will be orgasmic if we do it but im not confident thousands of Tims will be there anyway.

I think Man United will beat Lille, in fact id predict they or Valencia will go on and win it, Arsenal v PSV is a hard one to call, think Arsenal may well sneal it, i precist Real to hold out against Bayern and go through.

HAIL HAIL :twisted::lol:

Glad I not seeing the boyfriend tonight then I would be resorted to watching the soaps all night!

I don't really get what you mean here, do you mean your boyfriend will be off watching the football while you watch soap operas or something else?

On champions league nights i'd have control of the telly. The missus can go to the other room  ;)

Come on Barca!!!!
(im not expecting to get through, so if we do it'll be a bonus)

I too will be rooting for Barca tonight in hope of a return to the final in Athens.
I think tonights games should be very interesting.
I fancy Lyon to beat Roma and I think Valencia should run Inter close and scrape it due to the 2 away goals.
Chel$ea should be Ok against Porto so that really leaves Barca Liverpool as the must watch. Both teams lost on the weekend so it will be down to team selection, playing style and a bit of lucjk on the night.I really hope Liverpool don't simply "park the bus" to use a Mouriho term:)

Tomorrow night I'm off to watch Arsenal at the Emirites stadium which should be entertaining8)

Fernando if your Barry knew you said things like that

No its ok, we've already discussed this. We'd have two tellys and she can watch her soaps in the smaller telly in the bedroom. Id be the one paying for the Sky anyway so its only fair ;)

 Or you could really treat her and buy her a copy of Closer magazine to keep her quiet like at the weekend

Well done Liverpool, fully deserved to get through.
We just werent good enough over the two legs. Ronaldinho was awful throughout, and Rijkaard made a huge tactical error. Iniesta, our best player this season, was basically our leftback the whole game!!

Not too upset. Felt worse when Chelsea knocked us out 2 years ago or when France knocked Spain out in the World Cup.

Whats the best way to cheer yourself up after getting knocked out?? Watch the Benny Hill show at the end of the Valencia - Inter game... classic brawl!!!

we are destined to meet chelsea at some point in this season's competition, how about a revenge semi for the moneymen from the bridge.

imagine 5 english/british reps in the QFs, imagine all english semis!8O

i'd be so gutted if my team played like barcelona did over the 2 legs, a better team than us would have embarrassed you in the first half last night.

respect to the culé fans at anfield last night. great mutual respect between the fans/clubs!:D :D

Agreed, our first half was a disgrace. Its strange to see how a team can be so good one year and be so average the next (with the same players). There's a few determining factors, mainly the long term injuries to Etoo and Messi, and Ronaldinho and Deco suffering a huge dip in form.

Heard that both sets of fans were chanting the other teams name at the end, good to see 8)

Bring on Real on Saturday!!!!! Its all about the league and la copa del rey this year!! ;)

Amun Valencia!!! (for the champions league!)

Rijkaards buys this season have not performed

Thuram & Gudjohnsen especially

Ronaldinho is purely loss of form
Deco, however, just doesn't look interested

i don't think the continual swapping of positions helps
Marquez at the back, then midfield
Zambrotta left or right
