the first half when we should have won the match :lol: , we got lazy in the second half and let you come at us and you could still only slot one away from a set piece rather than open play.....! I think the pressure would get the better of you (that with the very realistic chance that you won't win the title this year) so you prob looking at FA Cup or Carling Cup ;) !

The script is not going according to plan :evil: 2-0 down @ half time against FC Copenhagen courtesy of 2 schoolboy defending errors, our dismal away record in Europe continues, we've only had one or two half chances, FC Copenhagen are playing well,it's just as well we are through or id be absolutely distraught8O

Man United just equalised on the stroke of half time there after Benfica took the lead after a super strike from Marcus Nelson but Vidic scored just there so as it stands United would top the league with us second but hopefully the Bhoys will come out all guns blazing the second half and get a few goals although the way we are playing i wouldn't count on it.:o
 
Terrible result tonight for Celtic losing 3-1 in the end, you can't expect to defend like that at this level and get away with it and we were punished for it, shocking stuff indeed just as well we have already qualified 8OMan United beat Benfica 3-1 @ Old Trafford so they top the group despite Celtic qualifying first,funny how it worked out in the end

Gordon Strachan NEEDS to sign some quality defenders when the transfer window opens we are seriously lacking in that department and if we don't improve we'll get mullered in the next round,happy we are through obviously but tonight was a cause for concern,we should've taken the game to the Danes and won.:?

not really, it was on the cards, united at home this season have been unbeatable (except for the arsenal result early on :twisted: ) and celtic (and most scottish clubs) aren't that great away from the home soil!!!!

united were dominant for 70 mins of the match and should have won by more, saying that i'm more than happy with the result.............sets us up nicely for this weekends derby match 8) .
 
Watched the Porto v Arsenal match as it was on local TV here. Most pathetic thing I've ever seen. The teams spent the last 15 minutes just kicking the ball around between defenders, knowing that a draw meant both teams were through to the knockout stage (potentially level on points with CSKA had they won, but superior in tiebreakers).

While the logic is obvious, I found it insulting to the viewers. Porto's fans were whistling with disaproval.

Good thing CSKA self-destructed and lost to Hamburg, or else I'd have to listen to several days of people around here complaining how the teams had "conspired" to knock CSKA out :?
 
Once the Oporto game got to the 70th minute and it was still 0-0 that was always going to happen.

Cant wait for the draw next week. Only team i dont want is Bayern, i never trust the Germans!!!

we cant keep it tight for the first 20 mins at all, hopefully strachan will put that right before the next round!

:lol: :lol: :lol: did you see highlights of the CSKA game. the Hamburg running back sacked the CSKA wide receiver in an illegal move, which resulted in the hamburg number 88 fumbling possession and the CSKA number 67 being ejected from the game.
