Central City hotel/apartments

stayed here in 2001, it was ok, the rooms were v small, that apartment shown sleeps 4, so it's a bit tight, also its' nice to see the grass on the pool perimetre as when I was there it was that sort of "cinder" stuff that you get on the old "all weather" football pitches which was v uncomfortable under foot. having said that it was in a good location, ideal for Mambo, Coastline et al. Also the Curry Club is over the road as is that great little Pizzeria on the corner (name esacapes me at the mo). theres an all-night bar in the hotel across the road (over the wall at the back of the pool) so you can have a beer when you get back from clubbing (assuming you havent gone on somewhere) :)

cheers for that info
just read some stuff on the west end (think thats where the hotel is) oh god am i going to be hassled by chavs??
if the west end is like that where else do u recommend for cool peeps and trouble free times??

it is in the west end, kind of on the fringe. Don't let it put you off though, it's a good base for the sunset bars ie mambo, coastline, kanya, del mar, savannah. There are loads of good free warm up parties over there. Pete tong always does his show from mambo in the summer. re the apartments themselves, it will probably be noisy and stuff but hey, you wont be spending that much time there will ya? ;) and avoid the west end at all costs, it's vile! interesting to walk through though...mind the puke. there are also some nice bars over across the marina out towards the bay, bar m and a few others. Look out for "Viper" bar which is kind of close to central city studios, head back to west end but sort of round the outside. But honestly dont worry, do a few sunsets, visit space, preferably for "we love sundays" and your Eivissa experience will be great!! ;)

the grass on the pictures looks super imposed, It wasnt there when I stayed there and I dont recall it being there when I looked in there last year.

The location is good for sunset strip, but the hotel is an 18-30s gaff so expect the baggage that comes with it, loud music all night, doors banging all night. A few rooms got broken into when I was there, and likewise a few safe deposit boxes which are like school lockers on the ground floor, some otu of view of the reception desk. I guess thats all down to the clientelle the week you go. We had no trouble.

Am going to be staying here from 9th-16th july. Me and my friends are a bit apprehensive about staying safe!! Is there anywhere else you can keep valuables? seems a bit pointless having a safe if they get broken into. I was wondering also if there is anywhere good for shopping...picking up some bargains maybe!? We're all ibiza virgins too! :s...oh and also the beach??...anyone know if it close and/or nice?? i heard the beach was a bit crappy!

there is a small "beach" just beyond where "kanya" & "coastline" are, it is small though and gets packed quite quickly. Alternatively as you head through san an and round the bay the beach does get better. best of all though would be to catch the boat from san an marina over to cala bassa or cala conta. These are both lovely sweeping bays sheltered by pine forests. Cala Bassa is probably better served facilities wise as has shops & a bar or 2.

re security at Cent City, I kept my valuables on me during the day.

Thanks for all the info!

We're a group of five 18 yr old girls from bournemouth!...can't wait to go now...we've all got exams at the moment so its gonna be a deserved break...well i say break!...haha i reckon im gonna have to sleep for a week once im home!
How old are you girls? You'll have to give us tips once were there...cos u will have been there for a few days already! Gonna have to do a bit of research for the best places to go i reckon.!

just thought of something else!...how much money would you reccommend to take, we will be staying for a week and want to have a good time!

I would take anywhere between £650- £1000- I usually take a grand so's I don't have to worry about money, but then I like to eat well, drink lots and party (relatively) hard. It depends on the kind of nights you want to go to and the kind of foods you want to eat.
