Carl Cox's soul, funk and disco set at sands

I think its usually a couple times over the season but nearly always on his birthday which is 29th/30th july
 
Cool, I'm sure I'd read he does one of them early September which is when I'm going so trying to find out if that's true and read today about him having his birthday but wasn't sure when that was so cheers!
 
he was doing one on our first day a couple years ago which i think would have been around the 8th september
 
he does two parties normally

one is his b-day one, end of july, which has nothing to do with funk&soul
and then his funk&soul one, which is at the start of september
 
i'm sure i heard a recent interview where he mentioned that there was no date fixed for the Funk & Soul party but it would probably be in September again

Cheers guys I'm there 1st to 8th September so might catch it depending on what day its happening and whether we fancy somewhere else during the day.
 
I think you'll miss it. It's usually in the 2nd half of September as I've been in each of the last 2 years and I'm usually there around the 15th-25th
 
it was on 20/9 last year. first record up was dc larue's cathedrals, on of mrs el ste's faves from the 70's
 
Really hope I catch it. I'm there 14th-21st, and it sounds right up my street.

Friend of mine said it was the highlight of his holiday in 2011.

in said radio transmission of the sands birthday I think they mentioned september 26th as the date for funk and soul this year.
 
Just seen Carl's birthday party is this coming Thursday from 4pm! Is this just a party on the beach or inside? Can you hear the music on the beach and take your own drinks? What's the vibe? Thanks
