Hi!

Sorry for the stupid question, but what's the usual lineup at these kind of parties. What time does CC starts to play? I mean we don't want to get into the party at 10PM if he starts to play only at 2-3AM.

Thanks!

I remember a year (2012 I think) when coxy came on around 1.30am to play for 2 hours, then came loco dice for two hours and after that cox and dice went b2b for the rest of the night. so it will be either that, or cox will start at 3 or 3.30 I think.

on 10pm on the sunset terrace it's gonna be sneak this year.

The promoter girl at the beach handing out promo bracelets told us that CC will be playing from 3AM till 9AM (6 hours set)...

We're not sure about our first Space experience.. why do they let so many people in? We stayed till 6AM and it was still extremely overcrowded.. next time (if there will be one) we're definitely going in only after 6AM..

It's always busy on CC closing, we were in the terrace and there was plenty of room and it was f***ing bouncing, Just Be and Yousef were class.

Just gotta find your dancing spot and stick with it tbh.

Yes the only place which was acceptable was the terrace, upstairs by the bar (on the 'balcony').. luckily we were there when CC popped in to say hi before his set... but if someone wanted to enjoy CC then I dont know what needed to be done.. get in at 8PM and camp by the main room stage, or get in at 8AM and hope for a free spot somewhere in the back. Hopefully the weather will turn to better and we can enjoy CC tomorrow at sands..

everyone knows coxy closing is ond of the busiest parties.

you can't go to space at 8am by the way, last entry is 6am - and they're very strict with this rule

I didn't knew about the 6am rule.. we've asked a ticket seller here at PDB and he said we can go in anytime we want.. however I didn't asked him specifically about entering in the early morning hours...
btw I get it that it's a closing party, but that you simply can't get into the main room where the main act is playing is pretty nonsense for me...

OK. then let me tell you that this is pretty much a 'standard situation' for any of the big closing parties here. don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to tell you this is cool - but that's how it is. everyone that has been to closing parties more than once knows about it and you just get used to it with every party you attend. and as nebsfac says - you simply have to find your spot.

I waltzed in at 1:10am and was three rows from the front with 6 mates getting sweaty with Tini, within the space of 5 minutes including drinks.

Honestly have you never been to a sold out event before? It's pretty much exactly the same setting.

I have many opinions on this.

I attended both this years and last years Coxy Closing.

I can tell you that whilst this year was busy it was not as busy as last year which was crazy.

If you can handle the crush and the sweat then you will hear Carl play a brilliant set as was in evidence on both ocassions.

If you CANT then this is no criticsm as my wife was with me on both ocassions and a few friends too who were at a nice place by the corner bar all night. The sound doesnt carry that well.

Fortunatly i did a bit of both with some other friends and chilled when i needed a rest but also went deep in to hear the master at work.

Therefore i can understand the many many people that leave these parties especially the closing that just thing Carl is bang bang bang. The sound in the quiter areas of the main room is just BASS.

If you had seen Carl at the Funk and soul party at Sands or gone deep into the dancefloor if you dared at Space you will have a different opinion of Carl.

Ultimatley Space is great and Carl is also great but i will choose to see him away from Space in future or as some suggest go into the club around 5 am next time.

The great thing is Carl has just been recognised as both best in techno and and best international Dj. Why because he is simply the best.

Dont go to closings if you cant handle the crowd in my opinion.
