Car hire scam!!

Just got back from Ibiza and we hired a car from BK. However, we stayed there a week and I think we got the last laugh.

We pulled into the parking lot with 5km range left in the tank. Suck on that, BK. I'm curious if they actually made it down the road to the petrol station

But most people probably don't do as much driving as we did, so yea, I think it's a pretty crap clause in the contract. Sort of 'hidden fee'

BK have their own pumps in the back yard.

I actually think this is a good money making idea from a business point of view.

HEY ALL!
I've noticed most Spanish car hire companies are asking you to return hired cars empty...which is impossible when you only have the car for 4 days!
On top of this they charge 60-70 euros for the full tank they give you!
They must be making a bomb out of this con!
Anybody know of a way around this?
When you hire a car through Ryanair, you get a Hertz car (nearly new cars) and the Hertz people explain the fuel arrangement. If you hire directly with Hertz it's the normal fuel arrangement.

Hertz/Avis are always full to full - if you don't return full you pay a refuelling charge and also for the fuel.

i ended up hiring through spotlight with Autos Mari - Full to Full ( I had previuosly booked through a full to empty scam company and cancelled it)
