Car hire from Ibiza airport - ??

Can anyone advise of any car hire firms other than those with a kiosk in the airport who do pickup and return of the vehicle @ the airport?

The firms within the airport are approximately double the cost of those who do the minibus pickup service.

Normally using one of the off site firms is no problem but we arrive 21:00 on Easter Saturday (?) with two children and the thought of messing about with minibus transfers at this time of night is not brilliant.

Any suggestions for options for picking a car up at the airport appreciated.

Hiper rent a car are just the other side of the roundabout as you exit the airport (Blue Marlin way). They are waiting with a minibus in the car park opposite the terminal and when you return the car to their depot they run you back in. Very reliable actually - book through their site direct.

You could also give BK a go .. 5% discount for pre-paying on-line

Are the airport kiosk companies really that pricey at the moment ? They are usually very cheap until mid-July. Did you try Atesa (kiosk in terminal) ?

went with hiper this year, no bother at all, cheap, and not much hassle when we returned the car with a ding in its rear end (not our fault obviously)

full to full tank too! (collective groan from the spotlight masses)

Cheers fellas, we had a quote for one of the offsite firms;

Pay on Arrival € 45.00 EUR Approx. £ 36.00 GBP
Pay Online € 42.99 EUR Approx. £ 34.39 GBP

We have usually been happy to do the minibus thing, would have been happy to pay an extra 20 quid or so to for the convenience of picking a car at the airport as we have the children with us at night rather than the minibus. Considering the airport based hire is circa £200, it's a no brainer!

I get the impression April bookings are way down considering Ryanair are virtually giving flights away and car hire rates are crazy.

What kind of car do you want?
Auriga Crown is in the airport and their showing 46 eur for a Peugeot 207

well i would book airport to airport if it was me.some of those quotes are very cheap.by the time you have paid for transfers to resort.you might as well get a car.

doyouspain have good deals in winter, especially if Auriga are still operating but I think they have gone bust, only downside is the 'pay for a full tank, bring it back empty' scam that some of the others use, Auriga never did and are in the terminal, shame if they have gone.
I have 2 cars on hire from doyou saturday and another one the following sunday and they can be cheaper than hiring a taxi from the airport

i once used them back light got smashed in hotel carpark.never said athing when checked.only problem was i never saw guys in yellow jackets years ago to get me to office.i walked it there, not far.

Auriga Crown office in the airport terminal arrivals hall was barred closed this week. All the others were open.

Rented from Hiper again arriving out of hours. Was 30Euros for Grp B for 3 days plus 30 Euros out-of-hours collect fee. Minibus waiting in the car park opposite the terminal as usual bang on time - no stress at all.

They didn't say their office only opened at 8am to return the car tho' (booked by phone last minute and had no time to look at small print). So went to check in using the free 1/2 hour parking opposite the terminal and did the car return afterwards. Took about 2 minutes to check it back in and was driven back in it to the terminal (no bus or unloading of the car required).

Be careful with refuelling out of season - if your flight goes early morning or late evening, the petrol stations are not always open early morning or late evening so fill up in advance. Hiper charge 75Euros if the tank is not full on return 8O.

You could maybe try bravocarhire.com ?

They've just started hiring from Ibiza airport this year.... You book online and the price you pay is the price you see on the site (very rare!) They're very reasonable too we found! :)

We used BK last week. Was in the car within 1 hour of touching down on the runway. Transfer was waiting as we arrived and only a couple of mins down the road.

If my other half is the driver , will there be any problem if I put my CC down as deposit, i.e. does it have to be same driver and CC name?

Hiper took my HBOS Visa Debit last September (which saved a few blushes as my CC was totally maxed and wouldn't swipe!)

So then I am looking at using hiper as it is so cheap
What is the problem with full to full tanks? If I get it full and return it full then is this the only petrol I pay? Or is there hidden extras in there?

You will probably have to pay for a tank of fuel when you pick up the vehicle and return it empty.
