Car hire excess

We organised car hire through jet2 with the provider being europcar in santa eulalia, we were told deposit would be 800 euros + vat but turned out to be only 300 odd at time of collection. They were happy with paper & plastic licence with no mention made of codes from DVLA, all in all a very swift and painless procedure on collection and drop off. We also arranged the additional insurance from insurance4carhire rather than take the rental company, there was no push or hard sell to take additional cover.
 
Atesa took the usual 150Euros off my credit card (used a Lloyds Mastercard for a change). When they refunded it, the bank credited it back at exactly the same rate and also refunded the foreign charge fees. Which was a bonus :cool:.
