Here's a question for you, Grego... why are all the pundits so down on Zenden after this match? Admittedly, he didn't have much (or any) of an end product. But, he was the only one moving the ball forward, particularly in the first half.

I've always liked Bolo. Thought he ate Paolo's lunch for much of the game.

basically

1)he has hardly played all year, so to put him into this game was a bit of gamble/surprise/undeserved..............therefore he is being slightly scapegoated
2) altho he was neat and tidy and much of our play went thru him, there was not much that came from it. he struggled to get a decent cross in, regularly hit ferreira or the 1st defender.
3)he is sh!t, everyone i know at FCB, chelsea pensioners and for us thinks he is poopoo. only did well at boro when he was the prize turd in a swamp of smelly turds.

put it another way, we played with 4 CMs on wed and that's just not gonna work (unless you are chelsea;) )

As I was saying, no end product.

But he was still the only one getting the ball forward! From my vantage point in the first half, he was making Paolo look ordinary. Definitely being scapegoated.

Didn't amount to much at Chelsea but he was a star at Boro. Carried the team, basically.

Would you consider him a central midfielder? I've alway thought of him as a winger.

we're agreed then.

paolo is ordinary.

as i said, he was a "prize turd in a swamp of smelly turds" at boro.

he always played centre mid for boro and has played there for us 75% of time. played as a winger before that, yes.

Might explain why he's sucked for LFC. He's better as a winger.

At Boro, he played on the wings sometimes as well... basically all over the place since the team was so crap

Ya like that? My favorite reworking of a cliche  Was disappointed no one got it earlier.

and Grego - he played winger at Boro too. Stop arguing.

i'm not gonna let you get away with an untruth.

i'd say for nearly the whole of the time he was at boro, he was a centre mid.

100% of the his 2nd season.

Na, the original phrase (not specific to any particular sport) would be that he had Paolo for lunch... but I like my version better

I've heard the phrase 'hot lunch' (which is neither to do with sport or food:lol:) but yours is an Morbyd Soccerball Original!
