In my opinion Wonderland has stronger lineups this year offering more than just straight up House music venturing into underground sounds as well.

You can go to Pacha any other night of the week and still get quality House music.

I think Wonderland will be the one to watch this year.

If your staying only a short walk away then even better!

U won't need to wait for buses or spend way too much euros on taxis that night!

You should check out Eden- it sometimes gets bad press but it's well worth a look!

It's all about the music 8)

The only time I've been to Eden in all my time was last year because I got some free tickets from a friend that lives on the Island, we went to Dave Pierce Gatecrasher and in honesty it was horrible, really horrible. Ive been to every single super club on the Island like most here, and for me that was the worst by a mile. I'd like to think it was just the night so I'm willing to give it another go, it was the clientele that I hated. The guy to girl ratio must have been 30-1 which made for some very alpha male-esque activities, and it seemed to be the worst set of brits in there, your typical 'scallys' abroad..skin tight AJ tee's constantly tensing and swaggering, skinheads and nasty stares, fat chains etc it was a really sinister depressing vibe and we only stayed 45mins. It was like your local commercial club in a typical british town, pretty rough.

I really hope Wonderland can pull a friendlier more cultured crowd, I just fear the stigma attached to 'Eden' may stop many attending.

I think it gets bad press cuz of all the young brits in San An go there. But that doesnt matter to me cuz i can deal with young guys and i can deal with San An thats my place to be.I found myself talking more to english, scottish and irish poeple than spanish, and italians maybe because of the language barrier.Ibiza town and playa den bossa strike me more of a snobby scene but its still fun.But thats just my opinion.Im looking forward to seeing Eden. And Amnesia too cuz it was closed last yr when i went out there.Pacha was fun but lil bit to proper for me.I like drunk mad poeple who dont care how they act haha and like to have fun.Itaca was a nice pre club place i liked to go to.Good fun party tunes and was a fun small crowd.Seen a few hot snobby girls get freaked out by the sax player but hey to each there own i kinda dug it.

Re bad crowds at Eden - I do agree, however I have had a couple of good nights there in the past. I think the crux is that alot of people - indeed a lot of people on these boards who know what they are talking about - think that wonderland can turn this around.

The line up when we are there is:

Wonderland
Main Room
Pete Tong
Deadmau5 (live)
Back Room
Groove Armada
Mr C

Now that is world class. Would grace space, pacha - any of them. And at 47 euros to get in - necessary due to said line up - it is not cheap. Therefore will hopefully attract a nicer crowd - that is those prepared to pay a bit extra for a decent line up.

And you then get into a good cycle. Judging by the number of people around here saying they are going to try it, i think it has a good chance (and good luck to em).

Worth paying the money for Mr C alone!

As you can see by the above- they have really covered a broad spectrum of music when programming the lineups.

I know Pacha are trying to do the electronic thing this year but I don't think it will feel right in there- after all it is the temple of straight up House music.

Scribs- You should definately consider Wonderland, Meganite @ Privilege, Cocoon @ Amnesia, Carl Cox @ Space and Def Mix @ Pacha- that is my advice to you.

Good to get others views on Wonderland. Thinking of going myself, but was worried about the scally/clubber ratio, but as someone said its about the music and the line ups look sweet, and Dave Pearce is always going to attract a certain sort.

roll on August

I wouldn't worry about the clientele. The type of people who go to Clubland, Tidy and Judgement Sundays won't be interested in seeing dj's like Groove Armada, Nic Fanciulli, Mr C and Jo Mills.

I also went to Gatecrasher and it was like going to a Liquid or Escapade in somewhere like Mansfield. However I believe the guys at Eden have worked very hard in attempting to change their clientelle. Could Kissdafunk be a bit of a coupe alongside Judgement Sundays do you feel? Went to KDF at El Divino last year and from what I remember it was a reasonably good night.

The Pacha crowd were never going to follow Pete Tong to Eden. After all, he was only the Resident DJ at Pure Pacha. The same people will go to Pacha on a Friday night and watch the new DJ's play. And the same goes for El Divino and Kissdafunk. I couldn't see people who go there go to Judgement Sundays :). They will just go to another night at El Div. It's different with promoters like Monza, La Comunidad, Superfreq and Electric Sex- they have built up a devoted fanbase of people who will follow them whatever club they setup shop in.

Look at Monza- I think they've been round every club in Ibiza :)

But I do think there will be a good crowd in Wonderland. I can see the Tidy/Clubland crowd going to Manumission on Fridays!
