Cancel Plague Rave DJs

Those articles educate nothing. Poorly done articles based off a story from “The Daily Beast”. A lot of “I heard this” without any facts.

The fact is that any areas that have had parties (e.g. Tulum, Florida, Texas) are no worse off. Tulum is actually on the lower end of the spectrum.

These events are no worse than other types of gatherings, so why are we trying to punish the nightlife industry? The event in those articles may have been too big at that time, but that’s an outlier. Most are small and outside. And sorry, Mexico and the US are not interested in completely shutting everything down (thank god).

Answer this question, when is it ok for parties to start again?

I genuinely actually worry about the world with statements like the above. There is no point in me actually saying anything else as you obviously just don’t get it and you clearly just make things up to fit your own viewpoint.

Not making anything up. Case rates and comparable events are real and factual.

And why do you keep dodging the question....when is it ok? The government clearly thinks it’s ok, so would love to know what they are missing.

without taking sides, the last few posts were a good example of how the concept of 'common sense' is utopia. while for some people, this way of doing things comes natural/ logical, for some people it's pretty much the opposite

Geez... I know I've been sleeping since I've just discovered this topic but...seriously?!
I would vote to cancel the whole cancel culture and cancel virtue signaling by other dj's.

You blame dj's for taking a chance to do what gives them income and makes them happy? We're talking about LEGAL parties.
Also...plague raves? It's not ebola and they're not giving parties in foster homes. Young people who have absolutely NOTHING to fear from this virus visit the parties...they are responsible not to hug their grandma straight after.

Good luck not attending any event in Ibiza in the coming years when you keep to your cancel culture beliefs since literally ALL our well known names are playing somewhere in the world when they get the chance right now.

Stop spreading fear porn. Plenty of DJs who haven’t been touring.

Adam Beyer, Sasha, Digweed, Eats Everything, Eric Prydz , Alan Fitzpatrick just off the very top of my head

Yeah. But you claim making a list of dj's who have been doing their job to point them out and cancel them is a grown-up thing to do eh?
i have never said cancel them, thank you very much. But ask yourself - if you these DJs are not advertising these gigs, and even have their management lying to cover up they are happening or getting people to remove any pictures or videos, then they know they are in the wrong

And the grandmas of the largely poorer people, forced into working at these events as their employers have the excuse of legality on the back of underreporting of cases?

Particularly the videos I've seen from Tanzania, I'm struck by the disparity of the punters, who look wealthy and white, and the local workers, who aren't, and the likelihood that punters aren't at much risk but pose a big risk to the local community

I don't agree with it, its wrong.

Its also way too complex to blacklist and label any DJ who has played any gig during the pandemic as responsible for deaths. Way over the top.
I agree it's not a one size fits all situation.

Globally famous, rich DJs, travelling to areas where events are likely to put impoverished locals at risk, however, are just keeping the gravy train rolling and f*** everyone else though.
