Camera Phones

I know that in some of big clubs i.e space, manumission, cameras are not allowoed in but what about camera phones? will they be taken off you at the door?

I had a phone out with me everywhere the last time, and nothing was said.....maybe I am just lucky?! :D

I didn't realise you weren't allowed cameras into the clubs! There definitely shouldn't be problem with camera phones....I would doubt it anyway! ;)
 
It wouldn't surprise me if you have to leave it at the privilege shop (esp. on a manumission) but they'll give you a ticket so you can claim it back after.

There are some very good reasons why you aren't allowed to take pictures in the clubs - and not all to do with money making.

At first imo you might need a real good camera phone to get good pics. And I don´t think that there is a problem with camera phones.

But I would be afraid to lose it.....
 
I dont think it would be a problem and most camera phones now are very subtle so i think youd get away with it. same goes with little digital cameras as well ive got away with them before, although i wouldnt even try in Space cos they are v strict with cameras

yeh I have read about it before, but it seems a bit silly that you aren't allowed them in clubs, there is never any problems at home.. :roll:
 
Can someone post a link to one of the topics about why cameras aren't allowed in clubs...would be very interested to know.

Earlier they were very strict about this. Nowadays it is rather easy to get a camera inside. It is not allowed but what could they do? Be careful and respect privacy especially in Space :!:
 
What about one of these, they are like a brick and can do video - will they take it away?

nope they won't take your phone etc away. or at least they shouldn't.

if everyone has a phone on them they'll need an extra store room to look after all the phones, and people are bound to pick the wrong phones, or phones will get lost.

imagine the extra agro that will cause.
 
Interesting point.

On my stag night last year I went to a club where the ladies don't wear a great deal and obviously they were VERY strict about cameras.

However, one of my mates had a camera phone and took loads of hugely embarassing shots of the assembled drunk lads with eyes goggling out without being hassled . .it just looked like he was texting someone.

I think he 'accidently' took some other pics for future private use too !

I reckon this summer will see lots of camera phone club shots on Spotlight.
 
Has anyone ever taken a photo in a club with a camera phone? I have a few times are they are complete dog.

I say always carry a small disposable camera and hope for the best. Normally space always take it off you but I've got away with it a few times. Never had a problem at pacha, dc10 or eldivino
