...so are any of you lot going to go to that Monster Msssive thing?

One of my mates is super-keen to go so I think we'll be in attendance 8)

Do most people actually dress-up for the event? The last time I had a costume for halloween was when I was 11. If I remember correctly I was Darth Vader. Do I have to make the effort again?
 
I will not be going for sure. I am not really into these huge event things. In addition, apart from Felix Da Housecat, I am not interested in seeing anyone else. I would rather come up to SF and spend time the weekend @ Mighty seeing Papp and Migs play than go to LA for the Monster Massive.
 
I am going to say no for now axon :(

Only reason being I have been offered a podium dancing gig at a big ol' mansion party that night... I'll be getting paid 100 bucks for like three hours of shakin' it lol. I can't turn it down.

To be honest mate, I know what you're saying. I'll have a laugh at large creamfields type events but a decent DJ with a quality crowd in a nice club is hard to beat.

Have you been to Mighty to see Miguel? I've been a few times. It's a great club - just the right size with a nice vibe and people that are there for the music. And Miguel Migs generally plays at least every 2nd week. If you fancy coming up some time, just give me a shout. You'd be very welcome. 8)

:cry: Aah well never mind. Sounds like you'll be havin' a great time at the mansion. You must be a pretty awesome dancer to get that kind of gig! What kind of music will you be grooving to?

Unfortunately, I have not seen him play at Mighty. When I went to SF in late 2000 and 2001, I had heard e-music only once 8O . I have seen him at Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa, my Deep House shrine in Orange County, a couple of times.

However, now that I have been totally into Deep House for the past 3 years, a pilgrimage to SF is well overdue. I will definitely make it out there soon. I think I will take a day or two off, and then head to SF to catch 2-3 nights of great house vibes. A few of my friends who are DJs in OC and LA have told me that for San Franciscans going clubbing to a true house club is like going to church. That's exactly my kind of crowd :D .

I actually will most likely be there as a large group of my friends are going and I live about 20 minutes away from the event. So I thought I might as well!

See you there I guess!
 
Since it is on Halloween weekend, I'd say 90 percent of the crowd will be dressed up (more candy than usual), but it doesn't matter if you are or not. I probably won't be seeing that at massives it is more important to be comfortable than to look crazy and it is DAMN FREEZING in L.A. right now.

LOL not really hahaha. I am alright I guess ;) I've been told the set up is going to be rotational... so I'll be dancing to hip hop for a little while (this is going to be hard for me lol, I am hoping it is old school and not piece of shiit Lil Jon or something) and then house music for a lil while :P

Paris, I have never ruled it out! ;)

The what dance?!!! :?: Not sure about the white gloves - seems a bit Michael Jackson to me.

Yes - we're def going. We have our over-priced tickets and everything! :)
 
You have to see the jumping jack dance to believe it. And trust me YOU WILL see it. And you will be like, "OOOOHHHH THAT is the jumping jack dance!" And you will see the white gloves. But if you have your friends you will have fun, at the very least, making fun of people. :lol: :twisted:

Sounds like a whole lot of fun! Hopefully I'll be able to incorporate it into my dancing routine by the end of the night! 8)

ME HAPPY........ just found out that party I'm dancing at is going to be house and trance only.... two of my personal friends DJ'ing and they are both TIGHT as hell :P :P :P :P YESSSSSSSS now I can shake mah groove thang PROPERLY hahaha.
