Anyone been? I'm going this weekend (well, just for Saturday) for Sis' Buckley's bloke's stag do.
I know they played a bit of American house at some events of this kind in the late 80's early 90s but I think it was very short lived thing. I gather they reacted against 'rave' culture and it's been soul, jazz-funk and rare groove all the way ever since.
Quite looking forward to it now - hoping to have a chat with the DJs about the above and their take on the art of DJing. In the days of Kiss as a credible pirate, Norman Jay and Judge Jules were into the soul weekenders (and were peers!) you know.
