Thinking about a trip up to Edinburgh to see Mano Le Tough here in March, has anybody been before? if so what is it like as a club? I have been to Edinburgh a few times for non clubbing weekends and drank in the 'normal bars' are there any nearby decent pre bars to go to for an event ?
 
Decent club, downstairs and low ceiling. Not a huge capacity, about 600 I think over a couple of rooms, so will make it a good night for someone like Mano Le Tough.

It has a bar upstairs or the City Cafe directly opposite is a bit of an institute in Edinburgh as a pre clubbing bar.

Bar Soba is popular but about 10 minutes walk away, always has DJs at the weekend. 99 Hanover Street also busy and directly across from Soba.

There is also a decent Ibis just up from Cab Vol and the City Cafe. If you stayed there, you could stay in the one street and have a decent time to be honest.

Forgot to say this is all booked now, that hotel you mentioned was fully booked but managed to get an apartment just a 10 minute walk from venue! Will make sure we visit at least one of the above bars thanks again @Dirk Bigler
 
Currently in City Cafe trying to pull meself around. Discovered Havanna spiced rum which is one to note for future

Was it busy? Harvey McKay was on down the road and I believe the Green Velvet night on Sunday was rammed.

Dancefloor although being quite small was packed, correct me if i'm wrong but I'm sure there was also a smaller room to the left of the dancefloor ? if so that was also busy!

Yes, another room to the left. Good wee club, right underground feel as low ceilings.
