Buying Property in Ibiza?

Been looking at some of the recommended Estate Agents. Its a bit higgildy piggly:!:

They could do with a Rightmove style system like the UK, where 95% of the properties appear on at some stage in the marketing (there are some on RM but not many).

There is also a big difference in the price of appts to houses, perhaps I need to save more money?:(

A visit early season next year might be in order.

i dont see how ibiza can continue to maintain the above average house prices, unless there is a planned invasion of the super rich?, i would be very careful buying anything in spain right now unless you can really afford it, dont need holiday lets to subsidise the mortgage and are very happy having to hold on to it for a long time.

you can buy a nice less than ten year old 4 bed detached villa with pool on the costa blanca for about €220k, walking distance/short drive from shops and bars and beach, not as pretty as ibiza, not as wild, but same sun, same sort of people at the end of the day. The mainland costas are not as bad as trever mcdoughnut suggested but like anywhere will suffer to cope with the competition of the all inc resorts.

costa blanca is open all year round.thats why its cheaper.plus in ibiza there are no 90 cents a pint bars.whats costa blanca got to do with it. the guy looking to buy in ibiza.know what you mean though..you could buy a whole street for that price somewhere in uk.

 crap joke of the day

what are you guys on about, you guys here dont need 90c beer, you get if for free from an all inc hotel in a plastic cup, served up to the sound of the mini disco.

kuchi wa kuchi wa

average beer on the costa blanca is between 3 and 7 euros, as for the people? like this place full of sport bars and egg and chips food places plus a smattering of fine dining venues, the people who come here and there(clubbers aside) surely looking for nice views and a bit of sun and sand and family fun, its the same sand same sun same people as far as i can see??? unless you are an arab prince with a big boat in the port, good luck to you if you are..

you dont suggest ibiza attracts a better type of person do you??

... 1-bedroom flat
in Santa Eulalia,
5 mins from the beach,
for EUR 100k.
There are definitely bargains to be had.

if this is a "bargain" ...

... the end of the world has finally come :o

Spanish building techniques do not inspire me to invest in a high rise block, save your money and buy a proper house, flats are noisy, parking and storage often a problem, just my ten cents worth.

good luck
