Buying Property in Ibiza?

The Balearics seem to have higher prices than the rest of Spain.

Does this make Ibiza a sensible place to buy a property?

Lots of variables on this, but with a weak Euro I can certainly get more for my pound. Is it a good time to buy in Ibiza? (sub 200k euros)

I have noticed a lot of real estate that has been on the market for some time. Are there any bargains to be had?

(just a general buying property in Ibiza discussion really)

The Balearics have tended to have higher prices than most places, for many years. They are unlikely to ever drop to below mainland prices. There are some houses on the mainland that are far cheaper but are also a long way from beaches, shops, airports, council offices, clubs and are sometimes a very long way from a tarmac road.

There are bargains here and now is the time to buy.

i'd say ibiza property prices are higher than the other balearics which is why when i downsize, it will be to mallorca.

you might a small flat for that.your looking at inland then.best to google a few firms.see what they come up with.

Have a look at ibizavillas.net Gail is the lady who owns the estate agents and was so lovely when we bought our apartment last year , she has lots for sale in all price ranges and really went out of her way to make the process run smoothly. She is based in Santa Eulalia next to the Royalty .

I have a friend who got a 1-bedroom flat in Santa Eulalia, 5 mins from the beach, for EUR 100k. There are definitely bargains to be had.
