- British police to patrol San Antonio this summer -

Does anyone go out before 10pm? (Especially to the West End) They appear to therefore be easily avoidable, don't think they have really thought this one through.

Would be great to see them standing at the toilets at the likes of Pacha. Great photo opportunity and I am sure they would love my chat. Who do I contact to make this happen?
 
It's a pretty empty gesture imo. Looks goods. Ticks a box. But otherwise futile.
 
I wonder if the guardia civil have hushed up their tatics of violence now there is brit cops on the island they could easily 'report back to the uk" what goes and the british govenment could step in with our spanish amigos and put a clamp to it

i heard both of them today on the cadena ser radio and basically they said everything is fine... i get the impression they came to the balearics to take the piss and do f*** all!



(btw, there's nine italian policemen in formentera right now!)
 
Apprently arrested one person in San An for beating up his misses. Thought they had no power of arrest?
 
^ they attended the woman and the two guardia civiles that've been with them all the time arrested the idiot!

so they arrived on monday afternoon, quick hello to the authorities and that was it.

on tuesday morning, meeting with the association of brit ressies and bar owners.

then they patrolled the streets of san antonio, cala de bou and playa den bossa tue/wed/thu afternoons.

yesterday afternoon, their last day, the local TV followed them: they had a stroll around the west end for 5 minutes and then stopped for a coffee for one hour.



what a joke!!!
 
There's a big player in San An who thought this would be a good idea. He kind of suggested that the local cops might learn something from the "Bobbies". I wonder if I'm speaking out of turn? (no names)
 
These two Cunstables....sorry Constables are from my local force... what a waste of time and taxpayers money. Their on f***ing holiday basically.

I wonder if they will give me a free holiday?

I am definitely in the wrong job if this is the kind of perks the Police get nowadays... Free trips to Magaluff and Ibiza...

And they wonder why people don't give them any respect anymore....
