I'm heading down for the Brighton Festival with work from 10 to 13 May. Never been but it looks and sounds amazing.

Where would people recommend for going drinking, shopping, eating, etc? Are there any good nights on that weekend?
 
I went to Brighton for the day by train on the Sat that fell Easter weekend we had such a great time there are SO many shops. You wont be disappointed and its all within easy walking distance.

We went to a lovely tapas place, I would definitely recommend. Its hidden away in what they call the Lanes. Try and find it it wont disappoint. Traditionally Spanish.

I LOVE Brighton, if I didn't live in London I could quite easily live there, it has everything you need and more.

Some of our fave restaurants are:

Terre a Terre (amazing vegetarian food)
Seven Dials (really nice for a special occasion)
The Gingerman @ Drakes (as above)
Regency (brilliant fish restaurant)
English's (traditional British food)
Al Forno/Al Duomo (sister restaurants that do the best pizzas)

Also the Hop Poles does the best Sunday lunches.

Wander round The Lanes for brilliant one-off vintage shops and if you need any jewellery there's some really good jewellers for different pieces (we got my wedding ring from one).

Re clubbing we have normally gone to the Honeyclub - it's not brilliant but line-ups vary from really good to rubbish - Sneak is there in May but can't remember the date off the top of my head.

Have house parties to go to all over the city. (:lol: @ calling it a city)

Streets of Brighton is the best weekend of the year to visit with the exception of Pride of course.

I cannae wait! 8)
