Brighton clubs??

I will be in Worthing for a wedding from 6-10 Sep and want to know if there any parties going in Brighton that weekend?
 
What time does the clubs get going and what is the dress code. I normally don't head out until 1 am or so because I live in Spain.
 
To be safe around Brighton, pretty much any UK, you need to be wearing shoes or smart trainers, jeans or smart trousers, and anything on top, no vests. Other than that you'll be okay. Obviously depends on club, your standard local cheese club will be last entry around 1AM, closing at 3 / 4. A more musically focused shall we say club would close at 6, last entry being late. Hope this helps. As for Brighton clubbing, my advice would be to go to as many clubs as possible for cheap / no entry fee to get a good experience. To get into a big club on a Sat night, entry could be very expensive for a ****e place. Move around the seafront, go into little streets, loads and loads of places for like £2 / £3 entry fee where it's just a little house and you can find some gems.

there was a big "club" somewhere in the middle of the town on
some kind of "mainstreet" .
you could take a big stair to another floor, maybe it was a former
theater or cinema ...

any idea of this place´s name ?
 
Elements is THE main town centre nightclub but it sounds like you may be talking about the Opera House which is actually in Boscombe and was host to the famous Slinky brand for a very long time. Now sadly departed, it is a music venue which has been sw.anked up loads for the money types although still has a few raves there every now and again, more concerts for big name DJ's though.

Still, a hell of a venue and a host to a MOVEMENT in a UK culture.

called "academy" the time i was there.

now i remember that i stayed in a suburb from bournemouth
somewhere between bournemouth and christchurch -
and academy/opera is on the christchurch road.

amazing to go to a place with over 112 years (!) of history .
reminded me of londons camden palace (now: koko).

i loved the seaside-summer-atmosphere in bournemouth, the pier ...
 
I personally do not think Brighton has got a very good club scene. The music the crowd, everything is wrong.
I would much prefer going to a few bars and chilling in the sun, then head over to London for the clubs.

I am going to Worthing for a wedding so I want to stay close.

Hate clubbing in Brighton - too many younguns. :lol:

Head for the Concorde - best music policy and ok-ish crowd.
 
A good friend of mine took his Staff out for an early Christmas Party, ended up on a Sunday at the Honey Club, and talked nothing but positively about it!!

Used to go there every week - was alright when I was a lad (Sundazed was free for about a year)...but wouldn't go there now if paid.

Thats what i thought, but Dave Spoon has played there recently, talking very positively, and they've got dates from Tong & Mark Knight coming up, so maybe its seen the light!!

They've always booked the big names.

But you may enjoy it so don't listen to me. The 2nd room is quite nice if I remember.

Bournemouth is my favourite place on earth, maybe second to Ibiza. That suburb would be Springbourne, which is where I live but Opera House is not on Old Christchurch Road, that is the main road through Bournemouth. It is in the town centre road of Boscome which I think is called Commercial Road. But yes I agree, the history of the place is special, even if it was filled up with pilled up 17 year old trance heads. But I don't think I've been at many a better atmosphere creating venue.
 
i'm stuck going 2 that area, everyones slagging off brighton. I would like 2 stay close to my friends so I will take the best of the worst in that area.
