Ive just joined a gym

Got the Induction tonight bit nervous a fat bloke in a gym and all that but hopefully wont be a fat bloke in a few years !!!

:-) Althou happy as i am its the best for my long term health i want to see many more summers in ibiza yet i dont want to have a heart attack by the time im 30

Its in herne bay its called Techno Fit its a small gym with lie 30 members so hopfully there wont be anybody there i know !!

Im proud of myself bout time i did summink and hopefully wont be too long before i start seeing some results
 
keep it up Fronty, don't get disheartened because you don't see the results you want quick enough.

Number 1 reason for people giving up!
 
Well done Fronty!

I used to go to the gym with that face -> :? at the begining, but after few weeks or months I realised I felt much better and my sleep was also better and all that so now I really can't have a week with no gym ;)
 
Getting in shape is one of the best decisions you'll ever make. You'll improve your physical, mental, and emotional health. You will feel 100X better! I advise doing lots of research or getting a trainer to get you onto the right path. Joining a gym is one thing but PROPER diet is key. Once you have a diet nailed down the next step is to create a weight lifting and cardio plan. Stick to it daily and you WILL see results.
 
well done :) you'll feel so much better in every way. i've been going to the gym more often than not for the last few years, and while it still isn't easy to get motivated i really feel rubbish when i let it go for a few weeks...

plus, gotta get toned up for lolling on the beach in ibiza ;)
 
Im back and im still alive :-)

Actualy enjoyed it did 40mins treadmill then 40 mins cycling the trainer said to me thats enuff for a first visit and he will increase after a week or so.

They seem to know what there doing and you get like your own personal trainer if i need it . they are going to look at my diet etc aswell

going to go again tuesday (working sat mroning shut fridays sundays and bank holidays)

Really enjoyed no strange stares from what i could see and even if they do stare f*** em its only cause im doing sumfing they probably couldnt!!!!

Techno fit? Does your gym have a DJ too?

My gym has a DJ on Monday's and Wednesday's, and it's called FIT. Maybe it's the same people?


You will love the gym life! However, don't get the membership and never go, that would be unfortunate!

On another note, I'm perfect weight for my height and my BMI is spot on but I'm a bit flabby. Anyone got any thoughts of how I can tone things up and lose a tiny bit of excess fat? Problem is I can't jog (not even on a treadmill) thanks to a motorbike accident a few years ago that left me with shattered ankles. Any thoughts??

Personally I think intense cardio works great for that. But if that is difficult for you, ballet is also fabulous for toning.
