i agree with nadz that you can't knock angelina for her charity work just cos she can afford the money and time to do it. however, i'm not really a big fan of going over the top and applauding and saluting celebs who donate cash to charities. their wealth should not make them righteous in anyway.

While I'm not the biggest Angelina supporter, I'm not sure it's fair to criticize anyone who would adopt 2 children. Considering the number of children out there that need parents, I think she should be commended.

I think this is a very frivolous way to look at it.
Adopting kids when you can have them naturally it's something very generous. If I had the money I would addopt as many kids as possible and with no doubt I would adopt them from different races. And think it this way Beck, what would you think if she says: I only want to addopt white kids? wouldn't that sound a bit "racist"?

I totally agree, adopting is a great thing and I will hopefully adopt when I decide to have kids. But I'd adopt whichever kid/s I bonded with the most, which kid needs me the most etc etc. Not according to my colour chart. Why can't she just say "I want to adopt as many kids as I can?" I just feel like it's all a bit commercialised, like she's doing it for publicity rather than for the true meaning of adopting a child.

I undestand what you mean, but it looks to me like Angelina is very devoted to all these tasks, while is quite obvious when it's a celeb doing a gig around etiopia once a year with HELLO! photographer around, if you know hwat I mean

Hmmm until I see her painting children's schools or working in a soup kitchen in Ethiopa Sil I can't really admire her, sorry.
They're in Namibia at the moment, surely one of the poorest countries in the world, saying in a $2500 a night hotel suite. Now tell me how charitable that is? The amount they spend could practically wipe out poverty in some villages!

But that reinforces my point Sil.... Angelina IS choosing her kids because of the colour of their skin. Like I said before, she's specifically said she wants one of each colour, so would she walk passed a black baby because she has one of them already?
