RIGHT! END OF!
Searched long and hard all afternoon on the internet....and FINALLY booked 4 nights in Geneva last week in July!!! Flights were 300€ return TOTAL and booked this hotel! http://www.manotel.com/jade/
We went last September for a night on the drive down from Milan and it was gorrrrrgeous from what we saw! So I know we both love it!
Told him earlier that he is a right pain when it comes to holiday deciding so I was just going to do it myself and for him to trust me.....SO....just finalised everything on the internet and he sends me a tx...."Dont book anything just yet....we may have another wedding the end of July....."
Well, all I can say to the happy couple is "Congratulations, were having a fab time in Geneva!"

2. You can go to Cabo de Gata any time, locals go to the beach from april to november
3. When is his birthday? I went to Cabo de Gata two years ago, we didn't find it THAT hot, remember in Barcelona it's a bit chillier than the south and first week of august the beaches looked like that

The beaches here are the complete opposite in July/August.

indeed. that is ridiculously hot. i'd end up in the hotel the whole time 
off topic - one thing i noticed in ibiza this summer, watching the sunsets, within seconds of the sun disappearing out the sky, a big chill swept across the rocks. (im talking 2 or 3 seconds!). Never noticed it before.
Id rather be cold than too hot. But then Im Scottish.
