But then what would they have done with the "merchandise"? They couldn't leave it there with him and allow him to continue breaking the law. They'd most certainly have to.... confiscate it

If this were the 70s or 80s he could have paid them off and they would have left him alone. But not now in our PC times.

Update: Turns out George did not have just a little nosebag lying around. He had 13 bags each weighing 1/8 ounce, according to the police report. That's 1.6 ounces or about 46 grams

Each bag is equivalent to a felony charge, but the police actually DID let him off easy by charging him with just one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. The prosecutors said this is the lowest felony level (though it carries a maximum of 15yrs in prison )

I read it was 13 bags weighing in TOTAL 1/8 ounce. Which is like 0.25g/bag or something... could literally be someone left 2 1g bags and a few with crumbs in after a party surely??

I used to see him all the time in Nottingham in the early 1990s and he definitely wasn't as fat as that, he still looked quite glam in those days with his slap on.
