save your money and buy a lead that will connect into you earphone jack then split into to plugs (red & white) which go into the back of your amp/hifi at home and there you are :D

I have a mate with the Bose and a mate with the Apple one, sound quality is pretty much similar with the Apple possibly sounding slightly better. I personally much prefer the look of the Bose, the Apple Hi-Fi is pig ugly imo so I would say go for the Bose.
But... what sounds even better is the route I took, bought a Denon mini hifi, a dock & an audio cable, maybe costs a tad more than the docks but is actually better value for money as you also get a CD player & radio.

Personally I would go for the Altec lansing IM-3 (About £100) or IM-7 (abotu £170)

Reckon the IM-3 is way more portable and has comparable sound to the Bose but is half the price.

It really depends how you intend to use it. If you want to take it on holiday etc would def go for the altec lansing.

Dont know too much about the new apple but did my research with the initial intetion to buy the bose and eventually went for the altec lansing

that's what I do and it works a treat.

However, you will get a better quality of sound by connecting your hi-fi via the plug on the bottom of an ipod rather than the headphone jack. But then again, you'll get a better quality of sound by playing from CDs rather than from mp3s/aac

Bose vs Apple is a tough question. I'd just go for the one I like the look of more

I think the bose does look a hell of a lot better, especially in black! Will be using the apple ipod with it though so i thought maybe the apple hifi would be better suited! Have listenened to the bose at a friends and the sound is quality! Not heard of the altec though..
