Borat movie

Can't wait to see it, but catagorically refuse to visit a cinema!

I think it may go to DVD quite quickly.

... hopefully.

The missus and I are dying to see this film. The reviews have been fantastic. Baron Cohen is an absolute genius.

The Kazakhs are soooo upset about this film... having lived out there I can say, of course, that they're nothing like Borat (mostly) but the great thing about this character is what he brings out in the people with whom he interacts. He's not making fun of the Kazakhs so much as exposing what's wrong with the US (or UK in the earlier TV version). Brilliant stuff.

yeah this is gonna be fun. have seen all the Ali G Borat clips what have been made and they are hilarious.

watched it last night. Spent most of the time laughing :D

So many classic moments, i wont spoil the big ones but i love it when he goes to a dinner party and excuses himself so he can goto the toilet. One woman was saying that the cultural differences are vast but you can see he could learn to be americanised in a short amount of time.... He then comes back to the table asking where he should dispose of the plastic bag he just crapped in rofl!

the bedroom scene with the fat guy is one of the funniest few minutes of film i've ever seen !

I am supposed to see it tonight w/ some friends. Looks hilarious. It's got to be better than the Ali G movie he did. Heard that one was horrible.

Just got back from seeing it

Some really funny stuff but I wish they had't tried to wrap it up an a crappy storyline.

Just showing the filmed pieces would have worked on it's own. Kind of annoyed me a bit to be honest.

Definitely will be a successful DVD though.

I'm off to see this tomorrow! Its had great reviews.

I've heard a lot about how the film should be more offensive to the Americans than to people of Kazakhstan.

Will post a reivew later!

Yes seen it too ,funny as

but I got the feeling with this movie some scenes were staged

And some of his previous work was actually more funny then the movie

still, one of the funniest movies ever

I have never heard an entire audience laugh so hard!!

especially during the wrestling scene..

90% of the film is 'real'. Only a small part is staged. However, if you consider that most of the intro and the story based scenes are staged then that doesnt leave much room for staged pranks.

It was quite good but the storyline wasn't best possible. I think most of the scenes were real, last one with Pamela Anderson must be staged.

driving instructor, delivery man in hotel, naked men running into conference room, pamela

its all about different camera positions

I thought so too, but was reading that Pamela wasn't in on it...

don't know how true that is... but read that in a number of online newspapers

i dont think all of the ones you listed are 'staged'. Just because something was planned, doesnt mean the reactions are from actors. I'm not saying that the driving instructor one isnt but they could have paid the firm to be part of the film and setup one of the instructors. I wouldnt call that staged as far as reactions are concerned.
