From what I read on here as I'd already been by that time for my 2016 trip is....
They didn't have a licence to have a big DJ booth that sat right on the beach facing outwards. And as a consequence the booth had to go. Which meant an empty Bora during the day.
Personally I really enjoy going there from around 3-4 in the afternoon as it really starts to get going. For our honeymoon in 2015. We had a great night there until the early hours and ruined things by going to Enter closing party!

That big led screen was a sad sight in bora bora. I had great times during g the day there people dancing facing every direction, no body focus or facing towards the DJ or it didn't even matter who was playing. Sure the music was varied from 'underground' to cheesy but for a daytime party it had brilliant energy.

just went to see how bora bora is looking.
the outside bit is there - speakers directed to the covered dancefloor. can't see them blasting out music towards the beach this year. currently no fence so it's nicely open, but we'll have to see how this will look once the season is properly on a roll.
also went to see the pool area in the back which is open air and obvs has a pool as the name says. looks like there could be some decent daytime shenanigans there this summer, could be the pendant to ocean beach or ibiza rocks hotel really? it's smaller of course but then again probably still free to get in? we'll find out soon I guess.

not a pool party at all, unless standing around the pool is considered that. at least there's a day time option starting before 3 PM (Cuckoo Land doesn't count!)

The music sounded even more monotonous than Carola's stuff. I was getting hyped for it, but I think I'm just completely over tech house. I saw clips from Carola's party and it actually sounded okay.
It's also not an official afterparty for any party beforehand either but I guess you can use it as such.
