Hey,

Ive got a week of with my other half from the 9th June onwards and were wonderin what the chances are of us being able to get a last minute deal anytime soon for a week in Ibiza?

Have booked our previous holidays months in advance and probably paid well over the odds.

Does anyone here book last minute, and if so, how, where and when do you book?

xx

i always find you get the best deals months in advance, if i was you i would book the flights and hotels seperate.

find out what budget airlines operate from airports near you and check there websites for flights and you can book your hotel thro this website or someone like medhotels.com

Easy!Yesterday, a friend of mine booked up half-decent accomodation, a car and flights for the first week of June as a surpise for his girlfriend (he's going too:lol:) for less than 600 quid.

Thanks Buckley and Grego,

you've set my mind at rest actually... was kinda worrying we might not get a good deal!

This is gonna be our final fling before our wee baby is born in September, so Im kinda, what you could call, desperate!

yeah, no problem. the pick of the flights may have gone but there'll still be lots of different options available. there should still be lots of packages available too.

have fun and good luck for sep!:D

Hi Funky, my self and gf book last minute all the time. We are heading over for Openings on June 8th for 10 days and have nothing booked yet. Check around and if you have quite a few choices and are prepared to take a chance, the longer you wait the lower the price, as Travel Agents will do anything to sell rather than leave empty packages.
We're flying out of Dublin which is a small enough market compared to mainland Britain but we've been keeping an eye on 3 tour operators - 1 has 4 packages that interest us Bali Beach, Garbi, Ebano and Sirenis Seaview, 1 has 2 others and the third one just has just the one of interest. As we have options we are waiting for the moment but monitoring daily.
The company with 4 has reduced its prices once already and will again, hopefully soon and then we will book. Bali Beach and Garbi are our top choices because of location & standard of accomadation. Bali is down to €800 for the 2 of us which aint bad out of Dublin but we will hang on as we have the Garbi as back up.

Best of luck...

Have noticed the prices on Thomascook go up and down daily! Sometimes by as much as £50!

Anyone familiar with the Ses Savines Hotel? Or Club Monterrey?

i got a week flights and apartments for £140 each of teletext-holidays.co.uk in decent apartments,
i have waited til last minute every year and if you are not too fussed about your apartments you will get a cracking deal on there, icelolly.com is also a winner

i booked my flights through jet2 and thomsonfly but that was abit ago.. monarch are definately the cheapest... (well form manchester anyway) but the flight times are rubbish, if you can afford the time though, your accomodation isnt too expensive and dont mind a night flight, then i'd book those and just book an extra few nights in your hotel so your not cutting time off your hol..!

interesting that people will stay in any old dump and fly at completely anti social hours to save a few bob. my holidays are important to me so i'd never wait for a last minute 'bargain.' my golden rule is that i never stay in accommodation that is worse than my own home and i only travel when i'm not normally sleeping.

We can't afford to spend too much money on holidays as we have a child on the way and still alot to buy. But we feel we need to get away from our town for a week before he/she arrives.

I don't intend to stay in a dump and have no problem with night flights.

Hmm.. I think the most I ever booked ahead was one month.. and even then I felt like I was booking too far ahead, because what if something changes??

I still got the hotel I wanted, easyjet fights were still cheap as was the car hire place.

I could never ever book as far as 4-6 months in advance!!! Even went I went off traveling for 3 months...
