Blonde ipod question

That won't work on the iPod, files transfered in that manner won't play.

Babs, if you have iTunes open, does it list the CD on the left hand side of the scree (i.e. under 'Music library' 'iTunes store' etc)?

It didn't All that happened is that I put it in and these fancy images came on screen and the CD sounded like it was going to start playing but it never did

It's probably got some built-in CD-Rom extras.. that'd explain the fancy images...

if the CD just isn't working then it's probably more a problem with the CD/laptop than itunes.

Try it in a different mp3 player like windows media perhaps? Remember if you import the tracks you'll need to do them to mp3 as windows media usually imports as windows media files which won't work on an ipod.

I bought the cd and while yes its quite a good mix.

The CD is also **COPY-PROTECTED**. Interesting how they don't mention this above.

You won't be able to copy it to MP3 unless you break the encoding.

Yep, sounds like it. Have you tried shutting down iTunes after you see the images, and then restart iTunes? Might work..

Here's one way you can disable certain types of copy protection: hold down the shift key when you insert the disc

There's no guarantee that's the form of protection used on this CD, though.

Update

After reading Barbie's original post again, i realise she was referring to not being able to put on the laptop. I thought she meant transferring it from the laptop to the iPod.

I was ahead of the game just a little.

I think breaking encoding is a bit beyond me don't you
