As everyone's holiday's are approaching 8) I thought it would be rude not to have a thread discussing beachwear! I'm heading out tomorrow to buy some more beach stuff as I'm still not convinced I have enough 8O

Girls - what type of bikini do you wear on the beach? Do you wear anything to emphasise any specific area? What acessories etc?

I've got a couple of new bikini's this year. I normally tend to go for bright colours and funky designs. I need bikini's that will hold me in up top because there's nothing worse than accidentally slipping out on the beach. I find halterneck bikini's are best for support, although ones like this (below) I can never wear because they give me no coverage! :x

I also want to buy a few Kaftans for coverage up my wobbly bits! I think these are great for when you come off the beach and want to cover up a bit!

I like bikinis that SHOULD say, 'objects up top are larger than they appear'... so anything that makes it look like I have something up top

I can never find any nice bikinis that fit just so....

I am sticking to the plain old triangle tie bikinis from H&M, they are very plain so I bought a load of beads, etc to attach to the tie bits.

A few years ago diesel style lab made some bikinis so I still wear them too.
 
I can't find nos 3 and 4 :roll: :lol:

But no 3 is a a pink and white spotty one and no 4 is a Floozie one with little ice-cream prints on it.

Regarding covers up I just wear a little skirt, I HATE HATE HATE sarongs and kaftans (sorry Bec but I think they're just designed for fat birds and you're not a fat bird :lol: ;) )
 
I only buy bottoms as I go top less most of the time (I only have one complet bikini that I wear with family or similar situations)

This year I only got one (all my bikinis or bottoms are boxer styleeeee)

I love this style to wear as bottoms only....H&M did some fab ones years ago....but mine are all a bit swimming pool rotten now!:? :lol:
 
I know it is a good thread isnt it.... the start of the summer season and I cant believe we haven't discussed swimwear~! :roll:

Babs - I quite like Kaftans, like Sirens says, a nice simple plain one can look really nice. Not sure if I have the tanned body to go with it but I do like them for chucking on after a day at the beach 8)

I could never wear a little skirt with a bikini, I end up just looking like some kind of white trash ho out on the town :lol:

They are perfect for my body, they fit me much better than other styleeees.
This one is H&M, 9€.
I got a couple last year from Oysho (Zara's underwear brand) and then you have the odd Women Secret (but it's not that cheap and you end wearing like 1000 girls in the beach)

Yep that's the kind of thing I wear to the beach, like you said not keen on the pattern but I love cute little ra-ra skirts :D

pmsl :lol: Classy Babs ;) No it's just me I think, bigger girls and mini skirts dont always go hand in hand, especially if you're wearing a bikini too, I always feel a bit too exposed 8O
