Big DJ's Small Venues - Pre Party Question

off to ibiza july 17-23 and wondering what the odds are of catching some big names in some small venues.....i have heard of the occassional party where one of the headliners stops in during the morning or afternoon at various bars and spins an impromtu set.

sasha, tenaglia, vibe, cattaneo, cox, morillo, romero, tomiie, tong, lawler all there that week. we will be going to the club nights anyway but would love to see an after or pre party with any of these guys....

suggestions?

especially the Pacha playing djs as Mambo has a linkup with pacha

don;t expect much tho - its often a v.short set and quite early too

short is still good.... i would love to see them close up and watch/hear the magic.

despite many many killer nights out in the past year the night we stood beside the decks with digweed spinning was by far the most memorable.

despite how much i love the man like, i remember one time at mambo when he only played for 20 minutes (good going for him)

Hmmmm, not so wonderful. 2 records probably isn't worth the trip to san an from ibiza, then back to pacha for the night. still if in the area i suppose it could be worth a drop in.

yeah i think this is the exception rather than the norm. But quite often you'll find the DJ will play a different style of music to that to which you're accustomed. bangin out tough house, prog or techno doesn't exactly work at 8 or 9pm when people are eating (altho i've heard it done )

i suppose your right 'bout that. will be looking forward to my first ibiza trip either way....any word on whether these new cctv cameras will be having an effect on the availability of 'other products' from the sunglass vendors in and around the ibiza town area?

Toms you just made my day.... i suppose i knew this but just wanted to have a little piece of reassurance. not long to go now, 30 days and counting. i just wish i could get the time to move along much much much faster. any tips for that?
