Only seen the first one but as much as a defence as you construct for the girl is that if she's just discovered this 'new' music 'indie', she's prolly dumb enough to have listened to the odd hip-hop tune and not understood the difference between a black person appropriating the word 'nigga' for (sometimes) addressing a friend and her doing so.

The context suggests it was a woeful attempt at being 'down with it' although it may play differently on TV than it appears in text.

on a more serious note agree with your comments above about her 'getting down with it' etc. Whilst I wouldn't condone the comment made if it was said the way it has been reported, were BB a little knee jerk in their reaction to it? particularly if it hasn't been broadcast either?
