Best west end bars??

the west end has a purpose for a lot of people visiting ibiza, its a place to start the night with some cheap drinks, socialize, talk about the day etc and mingle before moving onto a club and paying silly prices for drinks.

the bigger bars also can serve as a decent night out, especially if your breaking up your holiday and not going to a club for 1 or 2 nights.

thats what we do generally when we go, we will go down to the sunset bars, watch that at coastline etc, go back to the hotel, play some cards, get ready and go out to the west end, do a lot of the bars there, then for 7 or so nights of a 10 night holiday move on to Pacha, Amnesia etc and stay there until closing.

Considering we go out at 10pm there is plenty of time to spend in the west end and still have a proper clubbing experience in ibiza.

I didn't have a bad word to say about it until on my first night I got totally smashed in by 2 geezers for no reason.. I'll tell everyone in my review later though, still..

I've taken note of this bar Stephen as it sound's like my cup of tea, is it easy too find as i don't know the area everyone call's the West End??. Many year's ago i alway's refered to San Antonio as being San Antonio bay but ofcourse since my last visit i see that the area has complete'ly changed, or so it would appear from looking at recent's photo's and also reading the comment's from other forum member's.

Loved that shot of the West End by day posted by McRackin a couple of posts back. Memories came flooding back. Nice to have a photo like this where everything is nice and quiet and not obscured by all the neon madness that takes over when it gets dark.

The El Viper bar is a great little bar and there are some excellent bars in the West End, with good DJs and music...Hush, Plastik, Eden Rooms and Play 2 to name a few but the Spotlight Snobs would have you think otherwise, no drinking shoulder to shoulder with the beers boys for them!
 
If you walk away from the West End towards the sunset strip its down one of the streets on the left. (opposite the Mitjorn Hostels)
 
Defo Plastik! Best place ever! Not even close to the normal West-End silliness. Play 2 is wikkid on certain nights and Viper Bar is defo a good place for a nice drink.
 
I really liked Bar Colon. They had a pool table and I thought the atmosphere was really relaxed. Also, Ground Zero was a nice change of pace even if the toilets were sketchy. :lol:
