Best value alcoholic drink in Space ?

Browsing Mixmags in depth :) coverage of Ibiza they advise buying Cava in Space as the best value drink.

Apparently its the same price as water but you get a full bottle of the stuff for your Euros.

Anyone know about this and if the Cava they give you is in any way palatable !?

I usually get a Bacardi and Coke as my 'free' drink with my entry band but if Cava is worth getting I may indulge in future.

Cava is like champagne
 
Ahhh . . . bubbly drinks and lots of dancing usually has a very bad effect on me :oops:

Its strange that they can sell it for €10 or whatvever.

I know that would be expensive anywhere else but in Space , for a bottle that seems really cheap.

I guess it must be grim stuff :)
 
How big is the cava bottle? I can't believe Space would actually sell anything inexpensive. :?

At the opening some people were buying bottles of champage € 150 a pop 8O
 
I met someone in Space in 2001 on my birthday who got me a mini bottle of champagne. Bless :D

150 Euros for a bottle of champegne in an ibiza club is a bargain!
 
cava is like champagne but a fraction of the price even in the uk, its cheap as dirt in spainstill thats no reason as to why they sell it as cheap as water.

my prefered drink in space are smirnoff ices, although i love a vodka limon, the smirnoff ice gets much more for the money. if you have a glass filled with ice like they do for a vodka limon, a bottle of alcopop will fill it twice.
 
The bottles are a small 1 person siza and NOT a normal bottle size. I was drinking a bottle (normal size) of house white at space last year at around 35 euros.

It is also worth remembering that in the VIP you do not have to buy a bottle of vodka/JD/Champange at 150/200 euros. You can buy 4 or 5 bottles of wine. They are looking for X amount of money spent. as long as you buy 4 bottles and spend you 150/200 euros they are happy ; ) (and weathly)

Cava is not cheap champagne 8O

Cava is national product, so if you buy a bottle of cava in Spain you don't pay for import taxes and expenses
You can find dirty cheap champagne bottles and you can find dirty expensive cava bottles, cos prices work exactly like wine, it depends on the quality.
 
I thought the only reason Cava couldn't be called Champagne is because the grapes have not originated in France :?:
To my taste (not saying much) there is little between the two.
Last year we drank Cava most days around the pool very good to ease you back down after a night clubbing ;)

Champagne it's a Origine Denomination, so only the fizzy drink produced in La Champgane can be called that way. Same with wine, only wine produced in La Rioja can be called that way ;)
 
I'd just like to add, that this thread title, on it's own, wins the (inaugaural?) "Best Thread Title" award for this day/week/year/ever etc.

Actually I could've spent the 150 euros on the "bargain" bottle of champagne, instead of getting several separate drinks totalling 150 euros :idea:

did i say it was cheap champagne? i am fully aware of what cava is. and i am aware of why it is so cheap both in the uk and in spain.

i said cava was is like cheap champagne, meaning that for thea fraction of the cost you get a fizzy dry wine.

Well I am from Yorkshire !

I don't mind paying a bit over the odds for a drink but I begrudge getting ripped off big time and surely nobody can say that the big clubs don't rip people off . . . can they !? :roll:

I actually drink very little in Space - the atmosphere of the place gets me through.

This year it will be back to my breakfast time pre Space ritual of sitting on PDB beach with a big bottle of Estrella and a ham roll from the supermarket. :)

A quick Bacardi and Coke at Passion then I'll tether my whippet to the railings outside the Terrace, roll up my trousers, set my flat cap at a jaunty angle and go in , ensuring I pop over to Sin Plomo to request the Tech House version of The Last of the Summer Wine Theme Tune on the way through . .

I totally and utterly love Space but when you have shelled out approx €10 on a little bottle of lager then it disapears in 2 gulps theres got to be something wrong :?

My preferred is the Jaeger-Redbull on ice... though it costs like twenty american dollars or more lol. What a rip off. Thats why I get sauced at the apartment beforehand. Wish I still clubbed "otherwise inhibited" 8O:p:p would save me some cash-ola.

I enter space TOE, thinking I'm never gon drink no moe.... preparting is a must I will be doing it before Space on the 25th of June.
