Best PreParty - Meganite in Itaca

Just fantastic! Great sound, small crowd, Mauro Picotto and Chris Liebing playing great techno right in your face! No attitude either (or burly security), both seemed really really happy and posed for photos etc no bother...
 
thats excelent news that!! i love that bar i think its great. spent quite a few days there last year on the beach.
 
Please remind me where exactly Itaca is located.
And whats the recommended hour to arrive to a Meganite pre party there?
 
The barmaid said Picotto was going to be on at 11, but he started playing at about 11.50 - but the resident DJ whoever he was was pretty good so it didn´t matter - to be honest I didn´t expect them to turn up, but when I saw Picotto standing next to me at the bar (!!) I knew it was going to be good.

Yeah turn up, they must have felt odd playing to a crowd that varied between 0 and 7 people dancing, with a few others (myself included) sitting on bar stools watching..!
 
well this sounds ideal,...quality djs and not to crowded! i shall be in attendance every wednesday from august the 4th :D
 
last time i went to see picotto i was very impressed with the way he was. he didnt go in any vip area he didnt have people running for drinks for him he just looked like any other person in there. When we walked in he was sat at a table near the entrance with a couple of girls, he went to the bar himself and waited to be served just like anyone else. he went walking round the club stood on the edge of the dance floor watching the resident play.

One point i went to the toilet and the mens in this club (The Empire Middlesbrough) are not a pretty sight on this night there was pi$$ allover the floor as a urinal was blocked and overflowed picotto was stood there taking a leek and he didnt look bothered buy it at all. From what i saw i recon he is a genuine nice guy, he played a blinding set as well!!!!
 
Shut up you lot ;-) I'm back in dear old blighty now - still, I brought the sun back with me rather than some crappy duty free!

Yeah, Itaca surprised me, on prev visits I always just walked past it - it's pretty cool, and the sound system is great, esp when they close the glass doors...
 
up untill now i hadnt heard of it b4 :oops: shall def visit this summer

loving this tune right now on tongy,....bass guitar riff, quality vibe!!
 
Wish I'd been there!
Itaca is my fave bar in the San An area, they always seem to play the best choonz & defo have the best sound system & the freindliest staff & yet everyone always flocks to Bar M WHY??? :?:
 
i only started going last year as i was one of those who Flocked to bar M, not any more though!!

last year i was on the beach infront of there nearly every day, the block who did the sunbeds there was sound a couple of times he let us have the beds free cause we were there all the time, then one day he gave us a little square piece of cloth and said "Cheap drinks" turns out this little piece of cloth got us into the bar cause it was closed for a workers party all day and night. drinks were dirt cheap and we had a really good day there
