Best Ibiza Tune ever

^^I was there for the live gig at cafe del mar in 92 or 93..They played in pacha later with harvey and laurent garnier.Jose Padilla and my mate Sean Campell who i was staying with for the summer were playing in the old Funky room.A very short gig but a life changing moment to say the least.:D

As its quintessentially Ibiza thanks to the Chill Out genre which was created there.

I agree. Whatever ones taste is currently, this is "the" tune.
 
agree on many of these tunes...adios ayer is quintessential balearic chillout stuff and mory kante's yeke yeke (the hardfloor remix) as stated by barbie years ago is just such a ibiza clubbing classic.
 
I think Cafe Del Mar, Greece 2000 and For An Angel are all cast iron shouts from a trance perspective.

But I can't believe nobody in a thread this old has not mentioned any Chicane. Anything from the Far From The Maddening Crowd album, probably Offshore.

Funny you should say this .. I was just thinking this afternoon Chicane is definitely another contender but I think the choice is pretty clear ...

Yeah, I think everyone would agree that Saltwater has a pretty special place in the hearts of a lot of people who have been to Ibiza. Particularly those who have ever seen Paul Van Dyk drop it at Cream.

But it's an odd one - I think Saltwater, because of the Clannad sampling, has an ever so slight celtic edge to it. Whereas Offshore is pure 100% chilled belearic. Lost You Somewhere comes pretty close to. Just an amazing album really!
