11 restaurants around the world ? 8O ... I remember having pigs' trotters served with mashed potatos and truffles in Paris in the '80s when the main man had one restaurant and could actually be found in the kitchen :!:

i had a fray bentos pie yesterday, absolutely rubbish compared to pukka, at least you can make a flying saucer out of the tin.

i hope you find some great eateries sr techno and share your comments with us.

:)

Did you get it (Fray Bentos pie) from Father Jacks?

Surprised El Boldado only gets one mention, mind you they could serve baked cow pats and you wouldn't notice with THE view.

hi

i got my FB pies from thomas green, but they are not all that..

but will be in touch with the local butcher for some custom sausages and ibiza pie company for the remaining summer gastro essentials.

:)

by the way dj techno, remember to take some nice photos of the food and post them on here for us, as ive noticed that none of these high end places have an A3 picture outiside in the street to lure you in!

kev;)

Yea.. the itinerary is Sage, e, Raku, then Robuchon. Cannot wait.

Sure, might as well post pics and brief reviews. I haven't really seen that many on Spotlight that have attached photos.

Cheers, thats the one, look forward to be back there this September

This place was recommended to us when we were there last September. We couldnt get in on the Friday as it was rammed but got there a tad earlier 9.30pm? on the Saturday. The food and wine is spot on, not too pricey and a cool courtyard setting. The small bar next to it set it off.

Highly Recommended

Jean & Pierre Troisgros and Raymond Thuilier too .. was lucky enough to eat at Raymond's restaurant in Les Baux a few times before he died in 1993 .. it was never the same afterwards.

Troisgros was a really interesting experience - located in the middle of nowhere in a semi-industrial area with very little except nuclear power plants of interest nearby ... a bedroom with 1960s brown leather clad walls and no aircon ... but the most amazing food.

There really was nowhere like France for food :D - at least that's how it used to be.

Troisgros is wonderful,in Roanne...This part of France(200km around Lyon) is the best for french gastronomy.
it's where i iam 8)

Will have to get back to Lyon some day.we travled around France many years ago for 3 week on a skateboarding trip. One of the best trips of my life and Lyon was my favourite by far.Big shout out to lyon local Jeremie Daclin who`s little skate company Cliche skateboards is now one of the biggest and best going.:D
