Best clubs for dancers?

Huh... funny, wonder if they know eachother... Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how she looks up there on the Amnesia podium. Probably amazing!

In terms of regular people dancing... In my opinion most people aren't great dancers in Ibiza. I personally like the athletic style of dancing with a lot of movement and flexibility and you don't really see that from most regular people in the clubs in Ibiza.

Floor space is an issue in ibiza. You havent usually got room to start doing cartwheels and bodypopping.

True true... you make a good point. But even in the situations in which people have space I didn't see too many people that made an impression.

Again, maybe I just happened to see the wrong people... I'm sure there are good dancers.. I just didn't see many!

hey rumble what type of dance you do? you pop? do any liquid? every heard of LPC? well im from maryland/dc on the east coast. ill be there in august 4-13th. my friend did tell me that eropeans dont really dance as funky or experienced like us american. hmmmmm? no offence to those great dancers. i dont know cause ive never partied it up in europe before just going off what my friend told me. he said im going to be one popular man in ibiza. i hope there is room to dance. by the way i do a little popping, liquid, boogaloo, and some touts. but my favorite liquid mixed up with popping. well get at me sometime rumble. may be we can meet up. love to learn some new things!

Thanks for all the replies so far...looks like I'll have to be discrete about letting the skills out on the world while I'm over there, since the consensus seems to be that there isn't too much floor space to really get down...we'll see about that...

Not true, there's a lot of room to dance at Space...I think you'll see some great dancers there. Pacha may have a small dancefloor but I've seen that funky room go OFF!

North Amercian vs European style of dance is totally different. Its actually quite a neat percpective. In North America the peeps who have groove or "pop lock" styles usually have props on the floor. Meanwhile those who "go-go" dance are usually laughed off the floor. But while in Europe the "go-go" dancers have free reign while the boys with some skill get laughed at. Those who are good, need not feel like they need to show off, but it is nice to see some of your own kind kickin around.

just my opinion really, but I really don't like go-go dancers. They are really talanted, but it is a turn off that they get paid... But I looooove seeing good dancers on the dance floor. Just getting into the beats. You can see that they are enjoying themselves, and that, for me, is what clubbing is all about. So to all those that "hear the dark beat" go for it!!!!!! At least in my opinion, you are the ones that make for a great club night!!!

PS if you could also please push the posers off the dance floor.....just a thought.... ;)

I think most of the people try to do their best ;-)
and everyone only wants to enjoy the music and the feeling ;-)
The most important thing is that everyone is so happy on this island!!

I remember nights at Pacha and El Divino where people -like you and me- danced very very good and nice!!

There are also good dancers in Amnesia, Privilege and Space, but in these clubs it is different because they are bigger and the parties are bigger, more bigger spaces/rooms...
El Divino is smaller and Pacha has lots of small dance rooms so it seems not so big...and the parties seem to be not so crowded ...

The best dancing I've ever seen was in Play2 - some bloke doing the running on the spot dance in his kickers.

Brilliant.

People sometimes try to emulate me on the dance floor. I like to hold one leg with my hand and jump through the loop created with my other leg. It always sends a wave of excitement through any club.

Okay...that subject header might be a lil misleading (since I'm sure most people go to Ibiza to get their dance on anyway) but...

At which club/night can I find the best dancers doin' it up on the floors? I'm not talking that two-step or "I'm by myself jumpin up and down"-type of dancing...I'm talkin' about people with skills that really know how to move and shake. Where can I find these folks at? I'm guessing the places with the best funky-house sets, but anywhere in particular?

Well rumblepak1 i guess you saw w/ your own eyes as i did, just got back!! IMO AMnesia had some of the best dancers up in the VIP in the main room for Cream, Manumission and Pacha dancers were great as well. As for the crowd?? In America as you probably noticed, ppl dance differently. We do the pop n' lock and the 'liquid' dance, and all those breaky moves. NOBODY did it out there, ppl were just shaking their body. I really enjoyed the energy of the crowd at SPACE though...it was off the freakin' rafters when Lawler came out to play. He really did rock the terrace i must say!!! :D

just curious about what you mean by "pop and lock"... do you mean that we make each individual move distinct from each other move? as opposed to people from europe who have one continuous motion?

if that's what you're saying i would totally agree!

Yeah basically...i know you've seen it

HINT: That Mitsubishi commercial w/ that chic dancin' in the car while 'Days Go By' is playin'! :P

how about some linedancing? spiceboy101 .. i bet you know some - you silly little texan! :D

Actually i got a lot of compliments on Pacha for my dancing - something I don't understand as I don't really regard my self as a decent dancer.

One guy even came all the way across the dancefloor just to ask me if I was one of the dancers from Pacha in London 8O

I guess he was just trying to pick me up :x  8O  :o

I quite agree McR :!: Those dancers @ Manumission were on top w/ their moves. These look like the doll house dancers! Also, the one's on the boxes were quite good, and also the Cirque de soleil acrobats were on top as well. That pic really takes me back to that night! :)

I agree.
Just got back. What a trip 8O
The discussion of this topic reminds me of an incident that my girlfriend and I had at Privelege last year. We were dancing off of eachother, I guess North American style, when my girlfriend (at the time) went to the bar to get some water. One of the bartenders made a motion with his hand like she was really high or something. It made her feel a little out of place. Throughout the night though, a few people from different parts of the world were coming up to us and complimenting us on our dancing.
Overall, I just love to see a happy face, smiling, giving off a good vibe. But I have to admit, I do have a real soft spot if someone can really move.
