For those Behrouz fans like me, unfortunately he will not be doing the Yo****oshi residency at Pacha this year. He's no longer working with Deep Dish and what a waste of a great night (Behrouz was the one rocking the party all the time).

Anyhow, he will be doing a night a Pacha with Subliminal on July 26th (woohaaaa). You can also check his summer schedule here: www.myspace.com/djbehrouz

Cheers!

behrouz really rocked when i saw him at yosh1toshi closing party last year!

but...well, now i have a good reason to go to subliminal on the 26th of july - i'll be on the island then! :D

Any idea why he is no longer with Yo****oshi?

He left the Bullitt agency that was run by Deep Dish and is now with TCA (www.tca-web.com) so I guess Deep Dish felt compelled cut him out of the Yo****oshi nights which is bullocks if you ask me. I used to live for Behrouz's sets at Pacha. He really carried the night.

He's still a Yo****oshi artist (just did a phenomenal remix of Cuba Computer's Haunting Me that was a killer track during the WMC).

I really hope to see more dates with Behrouz in Ibiza.

thats sad news he's the one who taught Deep Dish how to spin.

Haha. dont know if he did that but i do know that the nights that he played with deep dish are the most memorable nights. I think they feed off eachother or something and the music is magical.

i'm from san francisco and know behrouz. i use to go to the deep dish residency here 'when they were good' ;) and played 'house' music.

deep dish are responsible for launching behrouz's career, he didn't teach them how to mix by any stretch. good on him for making a name for himself internationally.

bullitt's lost over half it's roster. desyn and omid are no longer with them anymore either.

Actually Deep Dish did not help Behrouz launch his career. If anything it was all the production work Behrouz did and more importantly, Danny Tenaglia that really helped Behrouz. Hence why Behrouz and Danny Tenaglia are like brothers.

the first time danny and behrouz ever played together was NYE in San Francisco 2001. yes his relationship with danny has definately propelled behrouz but it was his relationship he forged with deep dish while opening for them at their residency at the very same club, release @ 1015.

trust me i was there :)

and honestly, behrouz is not really 'known' for his production work, internationally or locally. but once again even there, who released most of his very limited number of productions? yo****oshi/shinichi.

Boy, such misunderstanding when it comes to Behrouz. Actually Behrouz invited Deep Dish to HIS residency at 1015 and was the one to get them their first West Coast residency at Release.

This is the same rumor that some dj's in SF started a while back ago about Behrouz and Deep Dish, lolllllllll!

Anyhow, they did help him out but at the end of the day, he is where he is on his own merits. He's one helluva dj and producer / remixer. Talented as well and believe me Danny Tenaglia would never have taken B under his wing had he not noticed all this talent.

We are team Behrouzzzzza here and I'm just sad he's not at the Pacha party any longer. By the way Bedrocked, what's your name. I probably know you from the old Release days when I used to hang out with Martel n Nabiel.
