i know this has surfaced twice before - quite serious attempts at doing it. im sure someone was designing wristbands at one point to get made to give out to people. as i said above, my tongue is in my cheek. i just wanted to prompt the debate again!

potato idea is definately most original so far, although, how would you distinguish a spotlighter from say, someone out buying some tatties for their mince?

new (less ridiculous) idea - how about some kind of kaballah little piece of string around our wrists? More subtle than a wrist band you see...

perhaps a yellow and a blue band like the spotlight colours?

I think the easiest way for us all to find each other is if we were to huddle around the easily-identifiable token black man on forum. In the process, each Spotlight member should as often as possible supply him with beverages and other goodies.

It's always been a thorny problem. we NEED something to set us apart from the crowd, but this is the last thing that we WANT. Impossible isn't it?

What i suggest is that we meet somewhere that we would never normally go to where we'd stick out like sore thumbs.
