This is how I would describe my night at El Divino for Hed Kandi on the 11th of Spetember and again on the 18th! These were the only nights that I was really bothered about going to as I love all things Kandi but I really hope that they might consider moving to a different venue for next year as my nights were really spoilt by the fact that I couldn't bloody move/breathe let alone dance. I am sure it was a hazard the number of people that had been crammed in, at one point I managed to grab a space on the edge of the dance floor near the terrace which gave me a bit of air but I felt it was such a shame as all these stunning girls who had obviously spent alot of time getting ready were escaping to the terrace looking like they had been running a marathon, sweat dripping everywhere!!!
Going to the toliet was a definate no no and trying to get served at the bar well don't get me strarted on that, the bar staff were very rude and it took 30 mins to get served on one point. Needless to say that we paid 50 euros on the door on the 11th, long story behind that and we only ended up staying for 2 hours which I was gutted about but I was hot & sweaty, sober, had bruised feet from so many people standing on them, no room to dance, needed to pee got pushed down the stairs twice as there were so many people sat, stood and generally coming and going on them, and the final straw was that I ended up have a panic attack which is something I have never expereinced, and no I am not a hyer condriac!
I went to Hed Kandi the year they were in the back room in Eden which was great and I also saw them at Eldivino last year but again had the same experience as this year but not quite so bad but still a hazard I would say, apart from the fact that someone kindly put 2 out of our party of 4 on the guest list, big mistake we arrived earlish our blokes went in with the money and we got in the other Q which wasn't very long, as the blokes went in our Q shut and remained that way for nearly an hour. On asking what was going on we were told by staff that we could move across and pay the on the door price, slight problem with that the guys had the money so we were stuck! Needless to say the whole time our Q was shut the other pre tickets/pay on the door was moving.
I know that the popularity of Hed Kandi has grown over the last few years but I wonder if they might move to a bigger venue next year or at least restrict the numbers so its reasonably comfortable/safe inside for those who pay the money out for a ticket and it really does spoil what is a fantastic night!!!!
Sorry to moan HK guys but I am sure you like your followers to be happy ones and as you will see I have not had very good experiences recently !!!
