did anyone else see him on TV monday night promoting his new book??

I totally understand everyone is innocent unless proven otherwise, but does he really need to keep popping up in public to remind the family of the man who was killed that he is around?

I really used to like him but now all I see if a frail old man who wants sympathy from everyone

He is obviously still entilled to a life but does in have to be in the public?
 
I didn't see the program but from what I've read about him I feel sorry for him and I think he's been punished enough. I don't personally think he had anything to do with the death, yep it was at his house and he might have supplied the drugs but how many of us can say we've never had a few illegal activities going on in our own homes. He did act stupidly immediately afterwards but I don't think he should spend his whole life being punished for that.

If that was a member of my family I would not like to keep seeing his ugly mug on tele. Why not keep a low profile, that is all/

I don't think he is to blame, but he has to take responsibilty. If I was driving my car and had a dead body and drugs in it, and was pulled over I'd expect to get in trouble
 
I can't stand the man. Something about him is definately dodgy. A young man dies at his house, filled with drugs and with severe anal injuries and Barrymore does a runner when the body is found, yet he somehow escapes all blame for the crime. No wonder Stuart Lubbock's family have a gripe against the guy.

He dumped his wife cruelly and came out to be gay after 30 years of marriage or whatever, then when she developed cancer he was nowhere to be seen. Sorry but whatever happens you cant just throw away 30years of partnership and turn your back on them when they need your help the most.

I honestly hope he disappears out of the public eye forvever, it makes me sick to see him back. Every program I see him on he is crying, feeling sorry for himself and trying desperately to win back public affection. Sorry but to me he is just a bumbling old fool who has a sordid secret somewhere in there that only he knows. Maybe the truth will come out one day, who knows.

But that's his job - if he had made his name/money afterwards cashing in on what had happened at his house then I'd agree with you but he was probably the top mainstream entertainer in the UK at the time it happened.

And in his defence he did keep a very low profile for years afterwards living in New Zealand but why should he have to spend the rest of his life in hiding when at the end of the day he's never been found guilty of any crime.

He didn't know his wife had cancer til she died, it was diagnosed and killed her in the space of weeks.

well he was found guilty of drugs, and running away from your problems and keeping a low profile for the sake of other people are different things.

It's do not directly blame him for the death, but if that was me I'd keep a low profile just to let the guys family rest in peace.

He is not in a stable state to be on tele anymore, he seems like a nutcase, he had tears in his eyes again on monday yet was on a comedy show.

If he wants a public life he'll have to take to the crap that comes with it I'm afriad. And in his state of mind I'd advise him not too...

so he cant even be seen in public because someone died at his house??

the guy who died wasn't exactly perfect was he?

obviously seen in public can not be helped, obviously.. but going on chat shows with tears in his eyes all the time looking for sympathy is annoying me, that is all, and if it annoys normal public people like myself I dread to think what the guys family must think... I feel sorry for them and will not feel sorry for Barrymore, no matter how hard he tries

I agree... anyone would think he had been found floating dead in a pool the way he carries on :roll:
 
Blame

We were present at a party in South London a few years back when a young guy, dosed up on Cocaine fell from the balcony that overlooked the rear courtyard and later died in hospital.

Does that make the poor couple who held the party guilty of anything?

I thought that the general concensous of opinion on the forum is that everyone has the right whether or not to take drugs, and therefore become responsible for their own actions in doing so.

There was no evidence submitted at the inquest that Barrymore himself had supplied any drugs to anyone at the party, lets face it, when you go to a club or party you usually take your own gear, it's unlikely that Coke and Ecstacy were placed in bowls alongside the vol au vents and cheese and pineapple on a stick!

From what I can see there were dozens of people at the party, all probably gay or bisexual so plenty of anal sex would have been occuring in the bedrooms I would guess, there was also no submitted medical evidence that Barrymore had sex with the unfortunate young guy.

So to me the fact that the guy had been buggered or had taken drugs has no bearing on the fact that it was at Barrymores house.
 
I never intended to start to post to accuse Barrymore. Just find out if people actually do feel sorry for him.

The only truth we know is that Barrymore is a lier and a cheat, yet that does not involve him in the death I know

I did not like him after he split from his wife, and do not like him now.

He tries making out he is a nice guy when obviously he is far from it.

My other reason for the post was to state I feel for the family of the dead guy when they keep seeing Barrymore on tele with tears in his eyes half cracking up. He is past it, not in a stable condition and for those reason I think he should stay off the tele.
 
i heard barrymore had some kind of fetish for swimming pool loving and that when fred the weatherman and jimmy corkhill from brookie weren't up for it, he just piled into this guy who ended up dead........furthermore, the dead guy actually had links to the Fair Play for Cuba Committee and his sister bought a dog from the same woman who sold Lee Harvey Oswald's wife a bunch of flowers that she bought for his funeral. His funeral actually took place on the same day but 20 years before the date of birth of the dead guy in barrymore's swimming pool whose favourite colour also happened to be red and most bizzarely you can make 'JFK die' from the letters in name of the dead guy from the swimming pool, as long as you use his lesser known middle name.
