Barcelona!

We're looking to fly to Barcelona at the end of June and Ive found some flights for about £68 each, is that a good price or are you better off waiting till nearer the time?

Also can anyone recommend a cheap place to stay for just one night? :D
 
That looks lovely, but its only for one night and the flight doesnt arrive until 11pm and we will be leaving for France the next morning, so it would be a bit of a waste really. We're just looking for somewhere nice but basic and cheap just to get our heads down :D

A what time will you be leaving for france?
68 sounds pretty reasonable. My experience is that nearer on the time flights are always more expensive

well we are debating whether to just drive there straight away (which I dont think we should do cos pauly will be knackered) or getting a hotel room for 1 night and leaving the next morning, maybe about 11ish? :D

I thought £68 was ok, just wanted to see what you thought ;) so buy now then dont wait!!!? :roll:

Ive just found out its a place called Ceret, do you know where that is?

So do you think we should just drive straight from the airport to france and not bother with getting a hotel in barcelona? I guess it would save us money :roll:

No, the decision it's yours, I'm not saying you should drive straight from the airport, I'm just saying that it's easy to go from BCN to that place and that Paul wouldn't end knanckered. ;)

My very personal opinion, I would drive to France straight or I'd book a night in Barcelona and I'd leave to France about 6pm to get the best of the city. Otherwise it looks like a bit of a waste to me (but I'm known to have biked from Innsbruck to Nice in one day, so maybe I'm not the best to advice) :D

lol I know what youre saying :lol: I dont want him knackered when we get there, this is the first leg of our mini honeymoon!! :roll: :lol: :D

we are now thinking of flying to perpignan instead as its closer but more expensive, just trying to work out which is the cheaper in the long run. Barcelona needs to be a few days visit not 1 night :D
 
Barcelona to Perpignan is quite expensive, I think only in tolls would be around 60€. YOu can take secondary roads which are amazing, but not that fast

I think we are going to stick with the Barcelona flights cos they are much cheaper and I quite fancy doing the drive along the coast. We deffo wont be doing motorway driving unless we really have to :lol:

Good choice. I love N-II, but it's not all the way along the coast 8)
