Clubwise, we're quite lenient, but house mainly.
And the budget for the hotel is cheaper the better really as long as it's where everything is happening roughly.

About clubs:
La Terrazzza's closing party is mid october, if you can catch this would be perfect.
Then you have Nitsa, great dj's and concerts, Moog (techno house), Discotheque, City Hall.
Don't expect to find the programation till few weeks before.
Bars: My advice is to just explore the right side (Raval) and the left side (Gotic) of las Ramblas. Also anywhere in El Born, a ver charming area.

silvia u live in barcelona & u don't mention the matinée group parties?i've been to moog & didn't enjoy this club..been to otto zuts..quiet nice house on the 1rst floor & rnb upstairs..been to la terrazza with w lopez..fully packed..maremagnum suck a little bit..they put cd rnb rap(hope that it has changed since)..but it's ok if u want to pull

Banys Orientals is the only hotel in Barcelona where I would pay for a night in.
And I have the perfect hotel for you if you ever come in for a romantic weekend or honeymoon

I have to agree. If there is a heaven it is Matinee Group Sunday morning at Souvenir. Ridiculous.
It is a 20Euro cab ride from downtown but there are also free buses from Discotheque.

Moog and Nitsa-Apolo are legendary clubs in the spanish scene. If you liked Otto I can understand why you didn't like Moog

enjoy more the house played @ oto zutz(it was free,found some pass along ramblas avenue...) this day than @ moog that played some sketchy house :x this day (seems moog was pretty cool there bcoz u can smoke some pod but it' ain't my thing to take drugz...
)i've been to maremagnum coz my 2 m8 wanted to pull some chicks & they had
if i go back to barcelona will do all matinée parties & maybe terraza & pacha depending on wich dj will play or anyplace wich spain djs i enjoy(dimas,simon garcia& karim shaker,sergio serrano,julian poker,cesar del rio,inaky garcia ect...all djs from stereo prod,beatfreak,morbido rec...).

Next time I wouldn't bother with OTTO, it's a cool venue but it's the kind of places where you go to see and be seen and 90% of the crowd don't really care about the music
Maremagnum was done for that reason, so mission acomplished
You should consider City Hall and Nitsa in your next trip

me and my girlfriend are coming to Ibiza next Saturday (11th) We're then going on to Barcelona on (probably) Thursday 16th 'til Saturday night...
can you suggest the best way to get to Barca from Ibiza? (we we're just going to sort something out when we got to ibiza!)
Also, any more tips on clubbing, eating and where to stay in Barca on thursday and friday?

Pablo, you have a fast ferry from balearia (www.balearia.net), slow ferries and plane.
