Went to get my spray tan done, all went well, came outside and the heavens opened. I had to run into Top shop (and spend £130) for shelter. :evil:

I now have little white spots all over me and it's not even develped properly yet.

However I did convince the nice Lady to let me have stage 3. :D

Grrr how annoying :twisted: Altho at the same time how productive of you to spend the time and money in Top Shop (it's 2 floors now isn't it I noticed the other day when I went in) :lol: ;)

Yeah they try and talk you out of it don't they, I'm like give me the no 3 biiiaaatch :twisted: :lol:

She takes her role as spray tan demonstration model very seriously doesn't she :lol:

I never know what to do with my eyes and breathing, I end up half blinding myself and trying to hold my breath but then letting go half way thru :? :lol:
 
I was told that the level #'s refer to not how dark you get, but simply how much tanner is sprayed on. Like "larger" folks always have to get a three.

I tried to get a three and it was just too much tanning spray... the excess was dripping to my ankles. Two was just right and it made me super dark. :P

ps. mambo, avoiding the "streaks" is sort of an art form LOL... it improves with practice. When I come out of the booth and notice streaks, I blot them up and smudge them to blend in with a wet finger. Then I use a little more self tanner later on at home to cover it up.

My salon has barrier cream, not booties or anything, to protect the palms and bottoms of feet. It looks way more natural that way.

Ah maybe thats why there was so much dripping off me, I am only a little lady.

I'm starting to look nice and dark now, I'll be just eyes and teeth by tonight 8O :D Not that I'm going anywhere but Gourmet burger :roll:

No this one is on levels of darkness, there's a 1 (who on earth would bother with a 1 it's so light :roll: ), she palmed me off with a 2 the first time but I just came home and put some more San Tropez on :lol: and 3 is the darkest, she always tells me not to have a 3 cos I'm so blonde but I just ignore her :lol:

That sounded like I was trying to imply that you guys need three because you are bigger HAHAHA :lol: :lol: Not what I meant to say at all. All salons are different. My last one in La Jolla, three was OK. The one I go too now has too much stuff. sprayed on when you get a three :P

S'ok PG you imply that we're fat heffers :lol: ;) They're all different I know, my friend went for her first one and I drummed it into her to ask for a 3 and they didn't even have different levels and the woman thought she was mad going on about 3s :lol:
 
I hate it when people at salons try to MAKE you do something!!! Its like, you are there to offer a suggestion..... let me do what I want!! And then they get all huffy when you insist. YOU are paying for it, for chrissake LOL

Unless it is the UV beds (some whiteys trying to do a turbo tan will end up with serious burnage).

I know I'd rather be too brown cos at least it's going to fade, what do they think you're going to do ask for a refund cos you're too brown :roll: :lol: There's nothing worse than spending £20-£25 and coming out and you can't even tell you've had it done :roll:
