Just been trying to respond to a post in the Ibiza 2006 announced clubs section and it's saying that I'm not allowed. Why is this? Not been around these parts much recently so apologies if it's already been discussed.

You aint allowed to reply in that section....its just for confirmed Line-ups etc and not discussion....basically veiwing only. There are sum replies on sum of the threads but they are from before that section was created!:!:

read the "disclaimer" that james has written at the top of the page in that section.

Hope that helps.

It's a bit annoying. I had a few points I wanted to raise on the line-ups and I'm sure others would like to discuss them o why can't we? Also, working on a clubbing mag, it would be helpful to add my two cents worth.

I think it's a good idea, everything gets too diluted otherwise.

You can add a new thread if you have confirmed dates to add. Or there is still the Ibiza Parties & Clubs section for discussion.

So you'd rather have multiple threads discussing the same thing?

I see what you mean but you can still discuss what you want in the other forum. It's just an extra.

im not keen on the new format. i like the board, the old one was dated, but im confused where to post things now also. result is i dont visit or take as much interest now as i used to.

I thought DJ Biff had great potential. Then I read his posts.

Ditto. Sorry moderators, it looks very fancy but simply isn't easy to use. That coupled with the fact that sections are 'too busy' to allow you to enter is just not fun.

It's ridiculous that I can't post about line-ups and clubs when I, along with everyone else have an interest in it. It's hardly trivial, bearing in mind that this is a clubbing forum. If I was a newbie trying to find info, I certainly wouldn't drudge through several threads on the same topic.

there aren't any massive changes apart from the format (which is miles better than phpbb). there is 1 extra forum which was orignally read only but changed to allow others to posts but not reply. it makes sense to have 1 forum that doesnt have big long conversations just factual information on line ups!

all the old forums are still there, nothing has been deleted.

and i think james is working on the forum is busy problem clara - but yes it is annoying!!

Sorry, Clara. I think it makes perfect sense... and it's pretty simple!

Confirmed Ibiza Line-ups is for notices about just that. Yes, we've got the party calendar for that too but it's just another avenue for conveying information.

Ibiza Parties & Clubs is for discussing those line-ups and anything else related to Ibiza clubs.

"If you were a newbie" and wanted to see the latest news on the summer line-ups, better to have those two things separated than to dig through pages of random banter just to find out who's playing when.

Actually, we've got 2 extra ones - there's now one for DJs to post mixes, another thing that often got lost in the Music section.

 yes Morby! theres more than that too if you count Benidorm/Costa Blanca!

the mix forum is a very very good idea!

Soz, Stuie.. re-reading my post it looks like I was trying to one-up you... not my intention!

Just making the point that it's nice to have these kinds of things separated out so that they don't get lost in the dribble.

I think we can safely ignore the Benidorm forums  ;)

Well gee... I dunno.... sounds like a wonderful place and all that (and that Benidorm Spotlight site is a must read!) but I think I'll stick to the islands

Fair dos. I just got a little frustrated at not being able to respond to the posts in there.
