Nothing wrong with Kos!

Im not necessarily slating the whole island but heard Karamena is kind of the same as west end IBZ therefore your average 18-30 jaunt?
I havent been there i was just tarring with the same brush

It is, but slagging off the whole island is exactly like dismissing Ibiza because of the West End of San Antonio.

Kos Town is lovely, but sadly the island isn't really that good for nightlife.

Yep I got exactly the same things when I told my colleagues in previous years.

It was a slip, I wasnt slagging off the whole island as i said above, i meant to identify the specific town but named the island instead.
My point was exactly that, I dont care if people are dismissive about Ibiza because they dont know it, and I too am dismissive of other holiday destinations (eg malia etc) because: possibly i dont know them well, and mainly because i dont particulary want to take the time to explore these parts judging by what ive heard.
We are all dissmissive of different places/scenes we are not into and i guess im illustrating my own point.

It doesnt really bother me because i pull the same face when they say they are going on holiday to malia/magaluf/kos etc (delete as appropriate) and i would pull the same face if i heard that someone was coming to Ibiza to do the west end and not go to any good clubs/nights while they are there.
When my fella and I explain where we are going and they pull the face it makes us feel a bit smug 'cos inside we know we have found our perfect place, with the perfect atmosphere and perfect crowd and gonna experience the rushes and the 'moments' that they in their life they will never come near to experiencing.

u cant imagine how much i relate to that and feel the same way when bumping into those situations! 8)

My work friends all roll their eyes when I say I am going to Ibiza (again) Then they all get up and do some crazy hardhouse dance and pretend they are blowing horns and waving glo-sticks about . I have tried to tell them 100 times that Ibiza is sooooooo not like that, alas they wont believe me

I have never told anyone I work with that I go to clubs due to similar reasons. When I have been asked about my holidays in Ibiza I always say they have been mainly quiet, spent on the beaches and a few meals and cocktails.

Now I'm a bit older I actually think I have the issues, not the people that ask me. Clubbing and the things that go with it is something I have always kept to myself and friends outside work. A secret life if you like.

Sorry I wasn't clear! I mean that they turn their nose up as if Ibiza is "far too scummy" for them. They have no idea - if I did that about their choice of holiday they'd have something to say.
