Babs, Goblin Tom (and the family) in Ibiza

Usual drunken shenanigans at airport so I fell asleep as soon as I got on plane, unfortunately in my drunken state instead of putting my head on Tom's lap I put it on some random bloke's sat the other side of me and he couldn't move me the whole flight much to the amusement of his friends

Got a second lease of life when we'd got taxi to Es Vive (nice room altho there was this massive Hed Kandi pic on the wall and I'm sure the woman kept trying to hypnotise everytime I was in bed going 'You will like Hed Kandi' ) so got on the rose to send me to sleep, couldn't sleep and was still awake at 7am so thought I would take a sleeping tablet but in my drunk state took a valium instead  so by the time Jamie and Alex came round a couple of hours later I was  Add a few bottles of rose for breakfast at Passion and I was

Got into Space early afternoon, good to see some old faces and meet some new ones (I won't list everyone cos I'm bound to forget someone), music was spot on for a Sunday afternoon on the terrace, thought Aldrin was brilliant, Lawler produced the goods as per normal and Groove Armada blew me away, thought I was going to explode (tm Jamie) when they played Promised Land and Superstylin (how many times  ) altho that might have been partly to do with bottle of poppers I'd had attached to my nose all day

Rachel and her little hens didn't have passouts so we used ours when the terrace closed, went and made a beach house with Jamie and Alex and were joined by the lovely Crofty and his lovely head  drank rose and listened to the whips (does anyone actually know what Tom was on about with the whips  )

Headed back into Space for Felix da Housecat, omg one of the sets of the holiday :D as we walked in he was playing Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall and we knew it was going to be one of 'those' sets :D So many exploding moments, I think bits of me are still scattered inside Space

Left at 6.30am, all back to Es Vive, had some rose, Tom and Alex talked trance and me and Jamie played hide and seek under the bed and reached new levels of lowness when we were smoking butt ends from the ashtray cos we thought we'd run out of cigarettes til I found some in my bag  Then back to Jamie and Alex's, more rose and minxiness, Tom did goblin impressions for us and then we headed to DC10, first time for a few years that I'd done Space straight thru to DC10 but proved there's plenty of life left in this old bint still  Was bit worried cos had heard no music on terrace but the inside was blinding, proper boshing it out.

Left DC10 and took walk back to PDB, had a minutes silence outside Bora Bora, almost shed a tear, there was 6 people sat there whereas you know what it normally is like post DC10  Crawled back to hotel destroyed, drank rose, got few hours kip.

Woke up feeling suprisingly normal, well 'normal' might be exaggeration but was functioning, met up with Jamie and Alex in morning to go to Croissant Show, breakfast for them, rose for me, then Alex drove us to Benniras and we spent lovely afternoon minxing round on the beach, drinking rose and finding new giiirrrrlfriends for Jamie  Then quick change at hotel and went to KM5, unfortunately we couldn't get thru on phone to book and there was no tables so we had drink there and then went to Ibiza Town and embraced this eating malarky cos remembered hadn't eaten since Saturday  Had lovely meal at Dalt Villa, said bye to Rach and her hens  and eating finished me off so we crawled back to hotel and slept.

Wednesday thought we should get a day on the beach but there was one of the worse storms I've ever seen in Ibiza and when we made a run for it to go to Passion we left our towels on sunbed so by time sun came out our towels were drenched so went back to hotel and drank in bar. Had thought bout La Troya Wednesday night but had a chilled one instead cos I knew I had to embrace the trance the following night

Thursday had a lazy day, felt grrrrreeeeaaaat for having some of this sleep business and then headed to Jamie and Alex's for Cream. Now I'd not been to Cream for 4 years, fed up with crowd, overcrowding etc but Alex had kindly got us on VIP g/list, we were even allowed to dance in the DJ booth when Gareth was playing, I felt like a DJs personal podium dancer  Gareth was excellent, Tiesto was good and Paul Van Dyk blew us away, still dancing in the main room at 8am in the morning. Couldn't get a taxi for love nor money, even contemplated getting a bus  but ended in a random taxi with the driver's mate in the boot

Carried on with our trance sesh all day at Jamie and Alex's, at one point the restaurant below their hotel started playing really annoying music disrupting our trance so me and Jamie went down and asked them if they could turn the music down cos we had a sick child in our room  Also I have vague recollections of hanging thru the railing pretending I was a dancing monkey (Jamie/Alex can you explain what I was doing then    )

Crawled back to Es Vive at some point, got a bit of sleep and then up bright and early for Matinee@Space. First time I had been to Matinee and we loved it, brilliant music and fab crowd, exploding moments came in the form of Pete Heller's Big Love which always reminds me and Tom of being in Space on New Years Day 2000 :D Left there and went to Bora Bora for rose but it's so depressing with no music that we had bright idea of going to watch sunset, joined by Stephen and Anthony and then the next thing I know Jamie has got us on g/list for DefMix and we're heading back to Ibiza Town. Don't remember much bout DefMix cept for looking for Mr Morales without top  I remember having the bright idea of carrying all the way thru to Space but fortunately Tom is slightly more sensible than me and got me in a headlock, took me back to hotel and shoved a valium in my mouth

Woke up Sunday morning, went for rose at Passion and to say bye to Jamie and Alex    but fortunately new destroyees had landed in the form of Jon and Bec :D You think I'd have learnt my lesson after the state of me at Space the week before but oh no, I'm    before I even get into Space, we left Passion and I fell over in the middle of the street  another collection of bruises to add to the growing collection  Cos Tom was so busy trying to keep his wayward g/friend upright  we forgot to get wristbands but as it turned out we wouldn't have used them cos music was soooo good, much harder than week before, Yousef was blinding, highlights were Intro and My My My, Lawler was good and then just before midnight beautiful ladieeee Lottie turned up and played til 12.45. Left terrace, took Jon, Bec, Stephen and Anthony to our beach house but they weren't that impressed with it   so went back to their apartment, minxed about for a bit and crawled back to Es Vive 6am Monday morning.

Managed to get couple of hours sleep, spent day on beach, had some drinks with Stephen and Anthony and then headed to Release Yourself. The man Sanchez was on top form, didn't leave dancefloor once, even got some kisses from him at the end, then quick change and to Manumission Carry On with Jon and Bec. The Carry On was fab, as messy as ever, Alfredo and his son played back to back first (first time I'd seen his son and was very impressed) and then yay it was beautiful ladieee Lottie again. Crawled out of Space to Passion for a bit cos couldn't make it to Bora Bora in one go  then sat down at Bora Bora, actually appreciating the silence cos we felt like we'd spent the last 4 days in clubs which wasn't far from the truth

Crawled back to hotel destroyed, didn't think my body would ever work again but woke up Wednesday alive which was an achievement  Went over to Coastline to watch the sunset and it was a really good sunset which you don't often get in September, as the sunset they played U2 - One (mine and Tom's fave U2 song) which was one of 'those' moments :D Then went to eat at Kasbah, even tho I didn't want to give my money to Judge Jules I do like it as a restaurant, had planned to go to Underground but again this eating malarky finished me off

Thursday was Tom's birthday :D Now I know if it was my birthday in Ibiza I would start the day with rose, champagne, lucozade and snorting action  Tom bless him wanted to spend all day drinking smoothies and eating cookies at Passion  Stephen, Jon and Bec came to Es Vive for pre-drinks, also good to see Scott and Laura again and then we headed to Pacha. Absolutely top night, Yousef was on top form, I don't actually remember seeing X-Press 2 even tho I was dancing to them  and Dave Seaman finished the night off in style-eeeee, he was boshing out the trance, I thought Tom was going to explode having some trance on his birthday :D Back to ours for drinks, then went out and drank til we destroyed ourselves in bar and crawled back to hotel.

Saturday woke up with a stompy face cos it was last day, had a relaxing last day on beach and watching the football, bought 1800 Marlboro Lights cos at 23 euros for 200 it would be rude not to (c) and then went for lovely meal at La Brasa. Then stomped all the way to airport where Jon and Bec were on same flight as us and somehow made it back in one piece, just minus a few million braincells, a few new bruises but no long-term damage or serious injuries

All in all a fab holiday, all the club nights were spot on, fab company and still time to do some nice things as well :D

Seeya all next year :D

Clara did you do a review, I think you got back the day we left, I had a look earlier but couldn't find it

Carry On is fab, did you do Matinee, would definitely recommend that next year :D

Fab review babe, really made me smile and brought back lots of happy memories :D

PMSL at the dancing monkey and playing the lets hide under the bed game, do you remember when we thought it would be hillarious to climb under at one end and emerge at the other end   Only us......

The dancing monkey was hillarious, I'd forgotten all about that "a peseta for the dancing monkey"

I think Felix and Paul Can Dyk were definitely the sets of the holiday for me. Definitely one of my best trips to Ibiza yet, although I think Alex and I managed to reach new levels of caining it/destruction, I still haven't fully recovered, although I did have the bright idea last week of hopping on a plane for amnesia closing

I think that's why I've felt so good today, there were so many happy memories that it doesn't seem so bad to be back, I'm going to take pics in to be developed in a bit so that should fill in some of the missing gaps   I'll bring them Thurs ;)

We were so impressed with our ability to get under the bed one end and then out the other

Just remembered something else as well, Tom's 'games', he was on top goblin form this holiday, he says to say hi to stoner James ;)

Felix, Paul Van Dyk, Yousef (at Space) and Dave Seaman for me :D

Can't wait to see you this week, sooooooo much to discuss xx

So glad that I found Passion this year as it was my antidote every day to make me feel human again. The blueberry protein shake and chicken enchillada were the bomb..........

Ooh -- happy memories -- Groove Armada were just the dogs :D Although the thing which had been attached to your nose became briefly unattached and nearly broke our Fergie

Another great memory -- the sound quality inside was just amazing :D :D

I was having a beer near the pool with Alan Helps when who saunters out of the Es Vive but Alex, Jamie, Tom and you with a very minxy look in your eyes -- I knew DC-10 had to be your final destination

Sounds like you had a great time ;)

Cool review, i gotta say tho, it doesn't sound anywhere near as messy as the last one!!? :?:

Well we didn't have to resort to licking the floor in Space if that's what you mean   ;)

Great review Barbie !!! I feel funked just reading it  I was at WLS with yousef and Lottie, and also at RY on the monday. WLS Was good but I've experienced better, it got a bit too rammed where i was , plus the little pink ones mashed my head  I though RY Was great, not very busy mind, but the S man was playing just what i like.

Next time if I'm over at the same time I'll say hi and maybe join you for a sesh, as it seem you know how to enjoy yourself :!: :!: Have you recovered yet :?:

It's just outside from Space, if you're walking from Jet it's on left hand side, they do lovely smoothies, good food and the best rose wine ;)
