My grandmother use to tell me if you can't say anything good about something best to say nothing at all.

I'm saying nothing about this night last saturday

Yes, partly I guess.

Firstly, not sure why when you buy a ticket on line it says Strictly No trainers, when they actually are allowed. That in itself will probably have put off a decent group of clubbers who probably think it's a bit arsey for a club to say that these days.
(It nearly put ME off going until I researched and saw it was ok)

Then as you say the crowd was what you expected. Lots of white shirts tucked into your designer belts drinking champagne and trying to pull.
I did expect that, but had hoped maybe Azuli might have also brought a friendlier clientele.

Then to top it off Xpress-2 didn't play an "Azuli" set. It was very samey, quite dark and techy. It was an ok set but in the wrong club. I can imagine maybe that set in the main room at Turnmills or in the box at MoS when you can get yourself lost with it all.

But everyone knows what Azuli is about, and maybe with a more knowledgable crowd it might've kicked off, but it never was going to work with that music and that type of crowd.

oh well, you live and learn. My mates thought the same as me. I'm not one who says i'm never going to a club again because i know maybe it was just a bad night, but next time I go to Pacha it'll have to be when there's a DJ that i really like and know what set he'll play.

ps: That smoking area is absolutely awful!

Yeah. I had the trainers issue before and even asked one of the promoters who said 'they weren't sure so best to wear shoes!'

The crowd with Pacha is always going to be high heels for the ladies and bow and arrahs (farahs!) for the chaps! Was a very surprise location for Azuli to pick this.

I went the other month and to be fair the music was spot on but place was empty by 3am. Some of the people in there were your 'oi oi' crowd!

SW4 weekend they have Pure Pacha with Axwell and Sarah Main but to be honest I will swerve it. The only reason I went is due to Azuli. I am not the greatest fan of Pacha London and would pick and choose my nights there very carefully.

Was Glen Morrison any good Ferd?

Yes the smoking area is disgusting. I feel for you mate as i'm an ex-smoker and no one should have to sit out there!!

Roll on Lovebox this weekend for me!

im not a smoker either, i just went outside as my mate needed a fag. Thats enough to put anyone off going for a ciggy!

Hmm maybe Glen Morrison was the one who finished in the main room. He was really good. It was soo frustrating because it got to about 4, and we'd nearly all lost our will to live by that point and suddenly we hear some good tracks. The place was very empty by then and we just thought why didnt he come on earlier?!

I'm sure Lovebox will be brilliant mate.
