It’s the hottest news right now as Azuli have just confirmed the move of the season for Ibiza 2007. After two hugely successful years on the White Isle at El Divino, the third season brings quite simply the biggest and most exciting challenge yet: Space!
If one label has become synonymous with Ibiza then it is Azuli.
They’ve released a brace of essential compilations showcasing the nocturnal sound of the party capital and rapidly become one of the key players on the circuit with a series of parties over the last two years. But as the season draws ever nearer, Azuli have announced that this year they will be moving to arguably the best club on the island, and indeed the world – Space. Whilst the first tenure has been successfully held at El Divino, Space is a fantastic move for the Azuli party.
Label owner and DJ David Piccioni says that:
“It’s probably one of the most natural things for us really, we’ve always had a special relationship with the island and when you talk about Ibiza clubs, Space is the first place you think of. It isn’t just one of the biggest clubs on the island; it’s an internationally renowned venue that commands respect the world over. For us at Azuli to be part of that is very exciting, and something we’re deeply honoured about. Of course we’re still very pleased with everything that we achieved at El Divino - it’s a great venue in an awe-inspiring location and it helped us establish ourselves on the island.”
In a short time the reputation of Azuli in Ibiza has evolved and for many they have garnered an already enviable standing. And by recruiting some of the world’s leading DJs alongside a collective of home grown talent, this year promises to be the best yet - and the action starts on Friday 6th July where Azuli will be hosting the new and improved glass roofed Terrace along with a new Chill Out room too.
The roster of guests is taking shape nicely, with a few more touches to be added, all to embrace the most exciting house music around, from deep techy beats through to peak time aural assaults. And don’t forget the annual Space Compilation will be released during the summer too, throbbing with all of the best tunes from 2007’s season and more.
David excitedly concludes with:
“We will still be pushing the most exciting electronic music and we’re still going to be putting on an amazing spectacle for each and every party. As a label we’ve always managed to stay true to the sound of what’s happening right now in clubs, and the last two seasons of parties have shown. In London, around the UK and beyond we’ve had some great parties and we want to make Ibiza 2007 the best yet.”
